In November of 2013 I published my first novella, 'Typewriter from Hell'. I'm proud of it and feel it's pretty well written and four other published authors have said so too. However, I just couldn't make myself do all the ignominious things required to market it. I mourn the days when good writers were considered a societal treasure and promoting their work was a well respected profession, not a career crushing risk in the event of failure. At any rate, finding out about the demands that pull the writer away from his trade to stand on the midway and huckster makes me appreciate Stephen King all the more! It takes incredible guts and fortitude to succeed for longer than a few moments in today's warp speed world. I'm reading and enjoying 'Revival' right now and hate for it to end.
