And that's great! I'm all for it. Because, each one of us women are different as we age. Some get more vibrant and active, more interesting. Some just become, "old."

I need to be carbon dated on a regular basis to assess my cadaverness.
You always make me laugh!
I've definitely become more active as I got older. I don't know about interesting... :)

1. What age were you when you first started dating? 17
2. What do you think of a man being interested in a woman 10 years older than himself? I think it's nice, but that difference becomes wider the older we get. No offense to any older women, I will speak for myself ONLY. Older women have a shelf life.
3. Have you been to Mexico? Yes
4. Now that it is winter (well at least for most of us) - have you thought of moving to another warmer part of the country? I wish.
5. Public transportation for yourself personally - yay or nay? I've done it, don't like to have to wait. When I want to go, I want to go.
6. When was the last time you did something spontaneous? Not very spontaneous.
7. Have you ever planned ahead for a special event then realized that because of it you would have to play hookey from work? No
8. Ever been to a live hockey game? Yes
9. What is the most serious injury you have had in your life? e.g. broken bones etc Broken arm, broken collar bone, giving birth
10. When it comes to bodily functions, medical procedures and so on - are you squeamish? NOT AT ALL. I got to watch an autopsy and I would like to be able to see other cases. If I could have been something, I would have liked to have been a forensic pathologist (and yes, this was years and years before even one TV show even touched the profession.)

Autopsies are very interesting to watch live. Been down to the Little Rock Crime Lab a few times over the years to watch autopsies. The pathologists that perform the autopsies are very professional.....and very strange...lol. They have a weirder and more morbid sense of humor than even we did...lol

This gal is so interesting. I ran into her youtubes years ago and she is smart, funny and informative.

If nothing else, for those of you who write about the unquiet coffin, she's a good source of information for your stories.

I can remember a couple of times the pathologist talking us thru an autopsy, then walking us into his office for the post-conference as he chowed down on a meatball sub. We're all still trying not to gag on the smell of what we'd just witnessed...lol, and he's going at his sub like they're not going to make them anymore. That guy was hilarious. I'll spare the details, but about 20 minutes later we're all out in the parking lot taking huge gulps of air trying to get that smell out of our noses, clothes, minds, memories...it's a very specific odor....blech!!

As a pathologist, he probably used Noxema under his nose or something similar with a strong aroma. Very common for them to do.

Nope, we did. He didn't even bother anymore. We asked him about it on one trip down there. He said he didn't bother him at all. He'd been doing that job for 20+ years at that point. No

I managed not to faint, but it was a helluva long ride back home and I had no desire to eat at all for about a day.

I heard Vick's vaporub is good too - very thick so it plugs up the nostrils and the strong smell helps diffuse any odor

(I think it was used in "Silence of the Lambs")

1. What age were you when you first started dating?
15

2. What do you think of a man being interested in a woman 10 years older than himself?
Well, I am 21 years older than my husband, so I see nothing wrong with it. Just numbers.

3. Have you been to Mexico?
No. Have no desire to go either.

4. Now that it is winter (well at least for most of us) - have you thought of moving to another warmer part of the country?
No. I like winter.

5. Public transportation for yourself personally - yay or nay?
Yes.

6. When was the last time you did something spontaneous?
All the time.

7. Have you ever planned ahead for a special event then realized that because of it you would have to play hookey from work?
I don't work, so no problems for me.

8. Ever been to a live hockey game?
No. I don't like sports of any kind.

9. What is the most serious injury you have had in your life? e.g. broken bones etc
None that I recall.

10. When it comes to bodily functions, medical procedures and so on - are you squeamish?
Yes.

1. What age were you when you first started dating? 17-ish.

2. What do you think of a man being interested in a woman 10 years older than himself? If you can find someone to make this life a little less of a train wreck, age shouldn't be an issue if you're both on the same page.

3. Have you been to Mexico? No.

4. Now that it is winter (well at least for most of us) - have you thought of moving to another warmer part of the country? I like winter a lot, so I'd rather move north to experience a real winter.

5. Public transportation for yourself personally - yay or nay? Nay.

6. When was the last time you did something spontaneous? Not a big fan of spontaneous anything.

7. Have you ever planned ahead for a special event then realized that because of it you would have to play hookey from work? No. Anything I've planned that far ahead of time, I'd already made arrangements to be off work.

8. Ever been to a live hockey game? Not a hockey fan.

9. What is the most serious injury you have had in your life? e.g. broken bones etc Lots of injuries over the years, broke a bunch of bones, but a broken leg broken in three different places was probably the most painful and hard to come back from. Broke two ribs which sucked majorly also. It's impossible to get comfortable with broken ribs. My twice broken ankle is the gift that keeps on giving year after year no matter how much I try to strengthen it, sometimes it will just roll completely unexpected and I'm on the ground writhing in agony before I even realize what's happened....lol. Took a rifle barrel to the nose a few years ago that made for a funny picture and some entertaining hazing from my fellow shooters.

10. When it comes to bodily functions, medical procedures and so on - are you squeamish? No, not at all.

1. What age were you when you first started dating? 16

3. Have you been to Mexico? Yes, Cancun... and yes, the police got involved.
4. Now that it is winter (well at least for most of us) - have you thought of moving to another warmer part of the country? Yes, if for no other reason then to stop having to listen to my wife complain about how much she hates winters.
5. Public transportation for yourself personally - yay or nay? No.
6. When was the last time you did something spontaneous? 1981... Damn fast swimmers.
7. Have you ever planned ahead for a special event then realized that because of it you would have to play hookey from work? No
8. Ever been to a live hockey game? Yes, several. Can’t stand watching it on TV, but enjoy seeing hockey at an arena.

5. Public transportation for yourself personally - yay or nay? Nay; only if it were necessary like in NYC.
6. When was the last time you did something spontaneous? My 19 year old neice came for a visit and I started doing chin ups on a nearby tree. She laughed.

Well - I managed to quote nine people!

About question seven - perhaps I should explain

Normally I do not work weekends (just the odd one)

Oh wait - let's start this story over:

However this one time
at Band Camp...
:m_snicker:

No seriously, there was one time where a :misdoubt:"friend" signed up for a course that was scheduled to begin on a weekend, not realizing that they had to work that weekend.

So rather than miss day one of the course he/she decided they had to feign a headache or a bad cold (something like that) in order to attend and meet up with the instructor and other participants etc.

In the military this was called 'malingering' and you could be charged by the Commanding Officer

Edit: I was in the military for over 21 years and the thought was - if you are well enough to get showered and dressed, you are well enough to show up for work. Besides the lineup at the MIR (Medical Inspection Room) was a pain in the butt :m_kma:

Disclaimer - the names of those involved have been changed to protect their identities

I note only one person admitted to doing this, and added they were very young at the time {Doc Creed}

It's nice to see that everyone has such a good work ethic here :biglove:Sai King would be very proud as he seems to admire hard work :okay:
:snicker:

p.s. Doc Creed - no offense

p.s. - did you get my Happy Holidays/Happy New Year card yet?
