Hey All!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Doug Draa and I'm an ex-pat Buckeye living in NurembergGermany. I consider myself an extremely lucky man.

A little over two years ago I started a Blog called (yeah, I know. it's a lame title.) "Uncle Doug's Bunker of Vintage Horror Paperbacks". I tried to do a weekly piece on old paperback Horror anthologies from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I did it purely out of my passionate love for old horror tales that haven't seen print in decades and that are/were in danger of sliding into obscurity. It's wasn't a huge success, but I was, and still am, a shameless self promoter.

You can visit it here......... Uncle Doug's Bunker of Vintage Horror

Anyways, it's now 26 months later and I'm the on-line editor for Weird Tales Magazine.

I want to invite everyone over to visit our website. For good or bad the website is my baby these past 8 months. I try to post material every two days. We have vintage Weird Fiction for you all to read, Flash Fiction, Fan Fiction, Artist profiles, interviews, Film commentary, guest Bloggers and lots of other interesting pieces. What I lack in writing talent is ,hopefully, compensated for by my enthusiasm for the genre and interesting material that I share.

You can visit us here..........WEIRD TALES MAGAZINE

We've been in existence on and off since 1923. We are the home of many a great author.

In our newest incarnation we run themed issues. so far we had the "Elder Gods" and "Fairy Tales" as our themes. With stories from Tanith Lee, Brian Lumley, Peter S. Beagle, the late Michael Shea and many other fine writers. Our next issue will be our "Undead" issue.

I also run our Facebook page which now has over 602,000 feed subscribers. Here I share weird and interesting art, all of which is credited to the artists with links to their own websites when possible, classic weird fiction, classic weird poetry , semi-regular fan-fiction and fan-poetry contests. On occasion I try to share exceptional fan art also. Even though the fan art got out of hand. I'm responsible for 99% of the FB page's content and there was only so much time to share art.

So you can also visit us on Facebook if you have time and interest.

So I'd be more than overjoyed for you all to come over and pay us a visit!

Take care.

I like the mag. Y'all have sent me some very nice rejections (the personalized kind--with followup emails even).

I understand that they have floundered a bit--here and there--but you cannot suppress a good thing.

I might start to begin thinking about possibly writing at you again.

Nice to meet you. I am Captain Watermelon Brownhand the Third.

You remind me (the white jacket) of a dentist during my time in the service. Sitting there in the chair, 32nd Street Naval Station San Diego...waiting at the dentist begins to attend to me. Where you from he asks. Michigan. Wolverines fan? I nod yes as he reaches for a needle...or was it a Milwaukee drill, 1/4" drill bit, carbon-tip? I'm a Buckeyes fan, myself, he says as he winds up the motor and reaches for my lower jaw...after climbing on my chest, shouting Wood-ee! Wood-ee!

Welcome aboard! :)

Okay - I'll bite - what is a "Psych-Tech"? - this is one I have never heard of before! (Welcome again, by the way!) :cheerful: :chew:
