It's very different from dad but it's very good. It's quite funny.
I read his book of short stories years ago, and I remember thinking they had good characters and writing, but didn't seem to go anywhere or actually tell a "good story." Hard to explain. Anyway, I know a lot of members here liked Double Feature, and for $2.99, can't go wrong.

I agree with that. Owen's writing is good, but the stories were just sort of "so whats" for me. The one I did like was about a dentist in the woods.

That's so funny, because that's the only one I remember! Have you read Double Feature? The UPS man just delivered Sleeping Beauties, so I'll try Owen out there first.

...I still want Marsha to sign a book of mine...she's a good friend and would be priceless to me....
She doesn't know it but I have a stack of books I would like her to sign- two copies of Wizard & Glass as it's dedicated to her and two copies of The Secretary Of Dreams for the same reason.

How was that compared to the movie?
I haven’t seen the movie so I can’t compare!

100 pages into Sleeping Beauties now. So far, so good. Was a little slow at first but now I don’t want to put it down. At times I’ve been able to differentiate between Steve and Owen’s writing—a word or phrase makes me say “Oh, that’s totally Steve,” etc.... I love both their styles, though they do bring different flavors to the table.
