Struggling through the girly book so I can get the darn review finished. *sigh*
Finished Holes For Faces - 14 story collection from Ramsey Campbell - good mix of stories showing his writing range.
Now reading - Find the New Moon on the Water by Mort Castle - another short story collection.

Still working on Outlander book 7. I am liking this one very much, as all the others, but find that I don't really want to get to the end and then wait til June for the next one. Have a bazillion other books I want to get to, but I am going to be awfully sad to be leaving Jamie and Claire and Roger and Bree and Ian and everyone else behind. These people are real to me now! I will miss them.
Also been reading The Rosie Project in bits and pieces at a time. About an OCD type man who is trying to find a wife by using a checklist. Was a $2 special for kindle, and I was intrigued by a reviewer saying the main character reminded them of Sheldon Cooper. He does me too, at times! (Not always, though.) Kind of a cute little story.

UPDATE: If I never read the words 'nipple' or 'smouldering' again, it will be a week and a half too soon. My brain aches. *smh*
You poor thing. I tried to read a girly book once where the author used um and er --constantly . . .I could not finish the book, which was too bad because the plot was pretty good.
Full Dark, No Stars. I've read the first two novellas in it. It's ... dark and uncomfortable. Good stuff.
I'm still trying to read Doctor Sleep. I started it in LAX with a 2 hour layover and only got through about 100 pages. I can't seem to get back into it.
I enjoyed sole survivor but haven't read odd hours and, shock, it's on the DK bookshelve in my lounge.
Uncomfortable is a great description. All the stories have an edge, and some of the subject matter I tend to steer away from, but as always the characters keep you glued to the page when I would normally put it aside.
I haven't started yet, but want to start reading the Outlander series of books.
Just finished Selkosen kansaa (the English version is called Before the Storm) by the Finnish author Kalle Päätalo. I began Lunar Park by Bret Easton Ellis earlier, and I'll try to continue with that one.

The first book in the series is the absolute best, in my opinion - it really held me enthralled. I like the way Diana Gabaldon writes
I wanna read those . . .but I'm afraid that they may be too much like romance stories for my taste.
I'm reading: The Legend of Juan Miguel and it's a pretty good read.
I just finished Big Driver - deeply disturbing. Even the ending didn't really comfort me. It was good though. I need something lighter for a little while.
There are definitely decent girly books,MM, and this one actually had a pretty good mystery going on (I had the 'baddie' pegged wrong until almost the end), but the clumsy sexual innuendo and repetitive word use drove me crazy. And this is an author with at least 80 published novels! I'm in the wrong racket--gotta learn to write smut (even bad smut)
