Hi all!
Long time since I have been on here, I always seemed to try and pop on during one of the seasonal breaks it seems!

Anyhow, I hope you are all well.
I have read quite a few since I was last here, a reread of IT (ready for the new movie, the trailer looks gooood), the Abarat trilogy by Barker, Gwendy's Button Box (short but sweet) and a failed attempt to read American Psycho.

Currently reading "The Silent Corner" by Koontz.

i'm so ready for It. i haven't decided if i will do a reread yet, cause i've read it enough times to know everything already, so no prep really needed lol. although it would only take me a few days so i have time to decide.

i considered getting silent corner, but i don't buy hardcovers full price very often. he's usually pretty good though so i expect when i finally get my hands on it, that i'll enjoy it.

The Darkside of the Moon (England really)
Just started I Am Legend, and really liking it so far.
I have it on my ereader and I've always been tempted but never enough to actually read it. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for your thoughts around here.

I've just finished my 3rd read of 11.22.63. I don't know how but it seems to get better each time.

I'm not sure what to read next, I'm thinking if it's not a king book it be either Let the right one in by John Ajvide Lindqvist or one of Watchers/Twilight eyes/Strangers by Dean Koontz.

I've had it on my Kindle for a long time, and always chose something else over it too. I'll try to post here after I finish, and give you my thoughts. I have three more of his writings in this book that I'll probably read next. This collection is only $2.99 at Amazon right now.

You can't go wrong with John Ajvide Lindqvist. LTROI is a good place to start, but his Little Star is the one that haunts me long after I first read it. All of his books are good, though, including his short stories.

Just started I Am Legend, and really liking it so far.
When I was fourteen my uncle's girlfriend gave me two books: Carrie and I Am Legend. Both books were old and yellow, and had come from a Chiquita banana box where she kept yard sale trinkets. I read both of them in a few days and couldn't wait to visit the used book store for more.

Very good book! I also enjoy Hell House and Stir of Echoes by Matheson. What Dreams May Come was probably the last one by him that I liked a lot.
I had forgotten he wrote Stir of Echoes. I just went to Amazon and ordered it. I watched the movie ages ago and really liked it. I will get the other two books when I get more money! I'd also forgotten he wrote Somewhere in Time. Have you read it? The movie is one of my favorites to watch gorgeous Christopher Reeve.

I hope your uncle kept that girlfriend! She knew what you would like, heh.

I went looking for my phone and sunglasses today that i misplaced and i found a book i did not even know i had! Holy Warriors - A Modern History of The Crusades. By a man called Jonathan Phillips, Professor of Crusading History. It sounds interesting and he ends his book with a chapter called New Crusaders? From Walter Scott to Osama Bin Laden and George W. Bush. It is written in 2009 which account for no chapter of ISIS. Anyway i think its interesting that a history professor sees the concept of the early crusades in modern politics and writes about it in a history book.He starts with the first crusade in 1095 and end with Bush And Bin Laden. Will be interesting to read his conclusions. Will not lose it again. Next time i feel for a factbook i know where to go. Oh, and i found my phone and sunglasses under a bookpile. The search was a success!!
