I enjoyed Carrion Comfort when i read it. Ive gave up reading The Abominable already, i dont know much about mountaneering so im struggling to understand some of it. Ive started reading what i believe to be a horror classic.... Pet Sematary.

Finishing up a book for review, then I can start Faithful. Also reading Pandemic-this third of the series is straining credulity. Can't wait until Fire & Ash comes in at the library: this is definitely the best zombie series I've read.

The guy is huge - 6 foot God knows what (6 foot 7 or 6 foot 9?)
Seriously, I heard that Stephen King is about 6ft 4in; which makes him one of the tallest famous authors in history. I think there were a few taller. I have to look that one up. Crichton was tall. I heard that Nathaniel Hawthorne was tall. I don't know. I suppose when it comes down to it; it ain't how big you are, it's what you do with it.

Picked up a book called Pandora's Lunchbox: How Processed Food took over the American Meal while grabbing a reserved book at the library--oh my goodness. Now feeling slightly sick and VERY glad that we make most everything from scratch. It's scary how many different foods contain woodpulp as an ingredient, and that isn't even the worst thing that's commonly used.

I like that explanation because it would mean I haven't gotten shorter either! ;-D
I used to feel like a giant at 5'10" (lots of girls as tall as that now, but not so when the dinosaurs walked the earth and I was in high school), so I loved hanging out with a friend's family: none of them were under 6'--lol. I've lost an inch to the years, too.

I would have (and still would!) taken a couple of those inches to help you out! In my next life I am going to be at least 5'4"--putting in my order now. Just watch, I'll be 5'4" and be a man in my next life so maybe I better be more specific. :biggrin2:

As he reminds me often when he's looking down at me and telling me how short I am. :biggrin2:

:cocksure::glee:
I had this picture of my husband standing next to that TV chef Michael Smith (have you heard of him?) Andy looks like a midget! (I think Michael Smith is about 6 foot 7 or so).

Ahh...now I see what you mean! Putting this in a spoiler because the pic is huge (which sort of spoils the effect of seeing it)!
