I thought of you when I saw the preview and remembered your past posts about Kate Beckinsale.Apparently there is a new series on Amazon Prime starring.....sighhhhhh.....Kate Beckinsale. It's called "The Widow". My wife actually saw the previews for it and suggested it. We watched four episodes of it last night. Do I know what it's about? Nah, not really. Apparently Kate's husband on the series has gone missing is some country in Africa, but he probably deserved to go missing imho. It's actually a really good series so far and Kate is as stunning as ever. That British accent and that smile, oh my goodness......a good series so far, would definitely recommend for a number of reasons.....
Yes ma'am, she's simply stunning...I thought of you when I saw the preview and remembered your past posts about Kate Beckinsale.

I had forgotten about that story but, yes, it does ring a bell! That's probably what made his adoration of Kate B stick in my mind. I'm not sure that's still accessible because it was probably on the old Board and that's locked down.
I did too!! Thought of our ghost19, that is - when I saw the preview!!
Do you remember that Thanksgiving (probably 2013) that we were crafting some kind of story together on the board - very random - something that started with a swinging bridge photo that Lepp posted, and ghost19 took it to new heights with the his rescue story of Kate B? I don't even know how to search for that. But I remember having a miserable time that Thanksgiving and being on the board that night with that silliness was just the cure.

How many episodes do others usually watch in a row from a series?
To keep up with series watching one episode at a time is rather slow. I watch usually four episodes in a row, after that I have to let things sink in a bit. That's when episodes are 40 minutes. When episodes are around an hour, I watch three probably.
It's not that sometimes I don't want to watch more, but some seires have so much going on that more than four just feels too much.
Some shows, like The Walking Dead, are leisurely paced, but others seem to try to put as much in one episode as they can. I have the feeling that many of the Netflix originals which run around an hour an episode take their time more. The extra time compared to shorter episodes, is used to stretch things out more rather than add more plot.
Depends, if I'm watching something with the Wife then it's normally one episode, two at a push.
I could watch 4 or more! Currently watching Ozark and watched three episodes the other night. It's good.
I'm thinking the best way to watch series is just buy the blu-ray sets.
The problem always was that a lot of channels don't continue their series. They rather start something new, than finish broadcasting the old ones - for reasons not entirely clear.
But even Netflix disappointingly quickly takes series off again - and then for some reason leaves earlier seasons on for no apparent reason, and then slowly takes those off too.
Plus you get so many streaming services now, it would become very costly to subscribe to all those.
So in the end buying the box-sets where you can just watch them at your convenience and not be worried you won't be able to finish them seems the best option. And it happens very rarely that a series doesn't go to dvd or blu-ray.
