I like his work with Cream, but his solo career never interested me personally. I am aware one of my classmates is named after the Derek and The Dominoes song, I like the riff to that and his acoustic version is pretty good too.

I like the almost cartoony vibe to the acoustic guitars on Tommy, definitely fits with a story about a mentally challenged kid becoming good at pinball and starting a cult based around it, the late 60’s could be weird

I highly recommend checking out this guy’s YouTube channel, he’s a Canadian YouTubed who’s channel is dedicated to talking about music history and analyzing some of the greatest songs of modern pop culture. Most of his videos are rock related, but he also has videos analyzing other popular music genres like Hip Hop, Funk, and Rap. I liked his mini series regarding how music shaped the Vietnam war and counterculture era.
