Spent most of the morning at the emergency vet clinic. Sadly, my dog took a turn for the worst during the night, and she had septic poisoning.
I asked the vet to end her suffering.
When I regained my composure, I called animal control. The other dog has now been declared a dangerous animal.

Absolutely!!!!! Make sure the landlords knows too, even though he is just a short term renter. Tell all the neighbors. Watchful for their pets and children. You know I am a true critter lover, and this was so needless. (((Sundrop )))

So polar bears could come up to see you:icon_eek:
Well - I am in Winnipeg but I heard that the locals don't think of the local bears up there as cute - they are afraid of them. Tourists will go up there to see the bears but they go in those big Tundra Buggies.

Damn irresponsible dog owner - he should have known better than to let his dog out without a leash and out of his control - so sorry Sunny - hope your daughter will be able to get over it as this is heartbreaking.

It was muggy and overcast all day and I spent the first part wishing it would rain so I wouldn't have to feel guilty about not going out and working in the garden. Later I spent about an hour collecting rocks for the rock garden so at least I could say I did some gardening.

I read that article I think Spideyman posted yesterday about the guy called Joe Caldwell who rebuilt a replica of Christine. I also read the Wikipedia entry to the Reverend Jim Jones. I want to see the documentary the History Channel made of that. I remember when it happened in the news. I have renew my driver's license. I'm going to buy Part Two of the Batman comic hardback story from the newsagency later. Also looking at Bill Collins snippets on the internet. I liked Bill Collins better than John Michael Howson.

OMG...look at the size of that f**king thingo_O, cute is definitely not a word I'd use to describe it. The worst thing we have over here is a fox........or a suspect kebab of indeterminate origin.

Went to my youngest’s high school award/scholarship ceremony last night. It’s the last high school function I’ll probably ever be required to go to. Yippee!!! She graduates Saturday but that’s being held at Lehigh University. Don’t look forward to the trips to Washington, DC for her college but she’ll only be coming home twice a year as their scholar program runs year-round for three years. My van is falling apart (I somehow get the crappiest vehicle in the family). The engine light has been on for the last 4 years, none of the windows work and recently the A/C and heater stopped working. Hopefully I can take the summer heat until August when I take over the Jeep her sister is driving and she gets the youngest's car.

Congrats to the youngest . Solution to engine light --Find a pretty sticker and place over light. Now you see happy instead of warnings.

LOL. My mechanic says the engine light problem is a 'soft code' and is more of a costly nuisance and nothing I need to worry about. In PA you can't get the emission control part of the inspection passed with the engine light on. So when I take it to the shop to get it inspected I disconnect the battery and rehook it back up. That resets things long enough to get the emission control passed before the light goes back on.

Now how did you get away with that? I went in for an emissions test on a pick up. The battery was dead and I had to jump it to even get it to the shop. They drove it in and drove it right back out within minutes. The girl asked me, "Was the battery disconnected?" And I said no, but it was dead and we had to jump it. Obviously I wasn't hiding anything.

She said, "A lot of people try to disconnect their batteries and then hook them back up to hide engine lights." She told me I needed to drive the truck for a while so the battery reset everything. I did. I took it back and it passed. But they know when people are trying to hide stuff. And if they let you get away with that, they are disreputable.
