Today, I'm waiting for a tick's head to work itself out of my thigh. I found the tick Thursday evening, and tried pulling it out. The head stayed in my skin. I dug out what I could, but didn't want to risk infecting the bite. So now I'm watching the spot and waiting. So far, so good. No bull's eye rash, just really itchy.
WTF?!!!! Girl, that sounds frigging scary... and a wee tad gross. :biggrin2: (we don't do ticks here, at least not like the big scary U.S ones)

Hope it evicts itself really soon!

I'm hard to scare, but I wig out whenever a tick or spider is involved. I've only ever found one other tick on myself, and that was over 30 years ago. It hadn't been embedded very long, and when I freaked out, my brother slapped the sh*t out of me to calm me down, and pulled it off my arm. This one looked like it had been feeding a little while. It wasn't fat, but its belly was kinda purple/black. Yep, it was gross, and yep, I freaked out, and wished my brother was here to slap the sh*t out of me.......kinda weird, but the thought of that did calm me down a little bit.

....try duct tape....if it's superficial enough, it might pull it out like a splinter.....just be careful how ya go with the tape or you may give yourself an inadvertent Brazilian.....
It's not that far up on my thigh.......Lmao
I'll send you pics. One of what I was able to pull out, and one of the spot after I stopped digging, and one of it today. Tell me if you think I should leave it alone and wait for it to come off with the scab, or if you think I can get it out with duct tape or something else.

Dang, girl, keeping my fingers crossed nothing comes of it. Don't assume you have to get a bull's eye rash as my daughter didn't. Get yourself tested in a couple weeks just in case... the sooner the better the treatment if it is what one fears. The daughter still has heart problems almost 10 years later because of it.

Yeah, I'm scared of lyme disease, and slightly paranoid.
