yes! ......for the love of God, just get a good sharp clean kniife, make a small cut with the tip and dig the damn thing out Sundrop.....then you may dig it out with yer pointy stick.....
I was going to try that, but everyone advised against it because it was a black legged or deer tick, known to carry lyme disease. From what I understood, sticking a match to one can cause it to regurgitate, and increases the risk, should that particular tick happen to have it. I know not every tick carries lyme, but I'm a better safe than sorry person.yes! ......for the love of God, just get a good sharp clean kniife, make a small cut with the tip and dig the damn thing out Sundrop.
It's only a tick head, not a d!ckhead bullet.
Next time try the "match" method, MOST of the time the tick will unlatch and run before it explodes.
.....I've done it on many dogs & quite afew human. Grandad taught all his kids things like that.
Awww girl.... (((Sunny))) he's watching over you always for sure. (tell him not to blink in future if a tick lands on you though)I'm hard to scare, but I wig out whenever a tick or spider is involved. I've only ever found one other tick on myself, and that was over 30 years ago. It hadn't been embedded very long, and when I freaked out, my brother slapped the sh*t out of me to calm me down, and pulled it off my arm. This one looked like it had been feeding a little while. It wasn't fat, but its belly was kinda purple/black. Yep, it was gross, and yep, I freaked out, and wished my brother was here to slap the sh*t out of me.......kinda weird, but the thought of that did calm me down a little bit.
hmmm and tearing it's abdomen away from it's head (no thorax, it IS an arachnid) probably wouldnt make it puke..... a tick is a tick is a tick...if it's carrying lyme disease then you GOT lymes disease.I was going to try that, but everyone advised against it because it was a black legged or deer tick, known to carry lyme disease. Why so harsh today? Hope you're okay.hmmm and tearing it's abdomen away from it's head (no thorax, it IS an arachid) probably wouldnt make it puke..... a tick is a tick is a tick...if it's carrying lyme disease then you GOT lymes disease.
Go ahead, leave the tick head in there. The spot will fester, like with a splinter, & it'll flush out with the pus ....eventually.
Thanks, FlakeAwww girl.... (((Sunny))) he's watching over you always for sure. (tell him not to blink in future if a tick lands on you though)

I've talked to Scott, and he's given me some good medical advice. It's all gonna be okay.
Enjoy the celebration.......bring me some cake! What did I do today? The other thing I do with my time (paid job lol), a tiny bit of moderating, (thank you Deejers for all the rest) had a good catch up with the SKMB folks... and am now off to celebrate my youngest's birthday with him. I see takeaway's in our future.

.......and by the way dearheart, don't touch the tick w the lit match just hold it close enough that the vile little parasite gets uncomfortable enough to evacuateI was going to try that, but everyone advised against it because it was a black legged or deer tick, known to carry lyme disease.
