We’ve had Easter egg hunts at my house for the last 17 years. The kids who participated, and ranged from 3 months to 28 years old, have always required we have one. Even the older ‘kids’ with children of their own demand we have one as they say it brings them back to some fun memories of their childhood. We have lots of Easter baskets we hand out for the hunt that we’ve accumulated over the years. On Sunday morning I found a hoppy toad in the yard. I told the wife I was gonna put it in one of the eggs for kids hunt, but she wouldn’t allow me. Killjoy!

I missed my Easter basket I told my mom and she was like wtf you are a 37 year old female crystal.. but mom its fun, she also will not let me eat caticorn cereal or bb8 cereal

why did they do this? to save money? is your church low on money? ie is it a large church or small. perhaps it was in response to odd mothers who do not want their kids having lots of chocolate? that seems to be some sort of stupid trend. yeh this Is lame
Our church for sure isn’t out of money, they started this a few years ago, after I was too old for it. It’s merelt to make sure “no kids get upset and everyone is equal”, what a lie to push onto children, they just want to have fun, there’s no fun when all it is is finding one egg. Kids enjoy competition anyways, seen in games like Tag or Hide and Seek.

Last night (your time) I read 'The Mangler' and 'Graveyard Shift' ( there's a typo in the 2012 Night Shift book, there's a sentence that says 'horses' and it should mean 'hoses') Also, read 35 pages of Cujo. There's a mistake in that too. When Donna and Tad go to the Camber place, she wraps some olives and cucumber slices in foil, later, when they are in the car and can't get out, she has something to eat, and it says that the olives and cucumber slices are in Saran wrap.

Thanks for the heads-up, I think it possible that these have been previously reported, but just in case they haven't... we have a link to Report an Error or Typo on the main site. Please send a message via that form and someone may check it out.

Do they have 'coco-pops' in America? What about 'rice-bubbles'? I thought you were 35, now you say you are 37. How come you still live with your mother?

Today, I will finish staining the fence.
I have a metal garden pig that I spray paint a different color every summer. This summer she will be navy blue. She was going to be glittery teal, but the can plugged and I'm not going to go get mineral spirits to clean the nozzle.
I painted an apple tree ladder that I will lean against a tree, and I am going to zip-tie flower pots to each rung with flowers that will cascade down.
I will kill weeds around my property.
I will fertilize my yard.
I will take my leaf blower and clean up all my rock areas.
I am going to paint my patio trunk that holds all my patio chair cushions.
I am going to go to Lowe's and get about 10 bags of rock to fill in an area that already has rock in it. These two areas once had cedar garden beds that I ripped out, so they are now two long areas of dirt. They look like graves.
I have a tire pyramid that I use as planters, each painted a bright color. I repainted those and need to touch up. Not my tires, just an example.

I think that's enough for today.

I believe next week at Lowes they will have mulch 4 for $10. Same with garden soil.

I would do this. I would actually paint this on my house. But I would never leave my tools out.

I have a garden area with raised railroad tie beds that had flowers and veggies in it. I have only one planted this year with flower bulbs that finally bloomed and look fantastic, but the area needs something more. At one time, I had painted big flowers on the fence next to the raised beds. (With this stain, they will be covered up) . But, I'm actually thinking about painting this on my fence:

I am never afraid of being goofy. I'm just not. I have done some wacky and wild things to my house -- nothing that can't be fixed mind you. Especially when my kids were little. I just went nuts. Some of the things I look back at and think, "WTH was I shooting up when I did that!???." And some I look back on and love!!!

....no reason to be, life is to short to constantly conform and be "acceptable"....blegh!....I'd rather people think the toys in the attic got swiped by aliens......

When my children were little, I loved to buy books. So many beautiful books. And I was very diverse in what I bought them. Fun and silly and beautiful art. And about other cultures and religions and different ideas.

One book I bought them was Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.

Sadako was a child who lived in Japan and developed leukemia after the Atomic bomb was dropped. While she was ill, a friend encouraged her to fold a thousand paper cranes as doing so would give you your wish.

"Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1000 origami cranes, one's wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times. As a result, it has become popular to fold 1000 cranes (in Japanese, called “senbazuru”)."

And her wish was to live. So, she started folding cranes.

I then folded a thousand paper cranes which I hung from strings (about 5 per string) from our dining room ceiling. They were there for a year and I still have them in a shadow box.

I have folded a thousand paper cranes for two other people. One was my mother; the other was Marsha.
