Tell hi
Guys, I'm in a serious what the heck situation. I'm sitting in a ferry wait line (the bridal shower is on the peninsula) and everyone has their windows rolled down because it's hot and you are supposed to turn your engines off so no A.C. The guy next to me is having a conversation with his ex-girlfriend about how much they love and miss each other blah blah blah. Ok, that's uncomfortable enough because we shouldn't all have to listen to his relationship drama but then she went on to this racist anecdote about some guys doing work on her building and now they've transitioned into some weird like phone foreplay. So awkward but way too hot to roll up the windows!

I sure hope this wait line moves soon.[/QUOTE

Like phone sex? Oh my god, can you honk the horn or something tomtell, them to **** up

Went last night to DS' band's second gig. Their performance was cleaner.

They were the third performance. As they were setting up a few people, including one of the previous performers, stood right in front of the stage. I was not impressed. But then, by the end of the first song it was a small crowd dancing, jumping, and head bopping. That must have felt awesome to the performers.

Met with a financial planner yesterday. Since I've always been self employed, I have no retirement account. I liked her. She assured me that it's never too late to start an IRA, and no amount is too small. She explained all my options to me in words that I understand.
I'm looking forward to taking this step.......it's hard to believe that 7 years ago I was starting my life over with no checking account, no real money of my own, and my house was in desperate need of major repairs. It's taken 7 years of hard work, but I have a great job, steady income, a new roof, a new heating/AC system, new windows, a semi new car, and starting an IRA. .....and I'm only in debt for the car. I'm truly living a blessed life ♥
That is fantastic!! Congratulations on all those accomplishments!

Are you still considering opening your own shop? The financial planner would be a great resource for that, too.

Thanks! ♥

I am still considering my own shop, but probably a little farther down the line. That's a great idea to talk about it with the financial planner.

Awesome, Sunny! :love_heart:

Thanks Y'all! ♥

It feels great, and yet a little odd too......I sometimes feel like things are going too well, and I'm waiting on the other shoe to drop.
Silly, I know.....

I'd be happy to help out.......:biggrin2:
:applause: Come on over!

The problems are due to how the people who built this house did it. Honestly, sometimes I wonder who made money on the inspections....but I don't quite understand all of it and after the first few minutes of hearing Scott #%$!! and $#%*&!! I just started nodding and saying, yes dear. ;)

He just called me on his way back from the store, where the person helping him told him the fittings we had have not been made since the 90s....our house was built in 2005. So....:facepalm_smiley:

Hopefully we get it done with no further issues today.

I've had the same issues with this house, except that mine was built between 1932 and 1950........No one really knows for sure. The kitchen was added in 1950, so that's what the deed says. We've found lots of little quirks, and ''appalachian engineering'' that we've had to fix or work around.

I hope y'all have better luck today. ♥

All done with the Great Water Heater Replacement! :applause:

It went pretty smooth. Got the fittings on the water lines changed. Scott got the new one out of the box and was walking it into place and I noticed a big dent right at the bottom of it. Came out of the box that way.

So a phone call to the store later, we decided to try it anyway, if it leaked we knew it was more than cosmetic damage.

Get water lines hooked up. Turned water on. Then the electric. Scott decided to shake and act like he was getting hit with electricity. He thinks it is soooo hilarious and I had told myself to expect it and not to fall for it, the breaker was off, but I fell for it. I jumped and screamed. Then I smacked him a few times. :lee:

;-D

It is not leaking, we have hot water, everything looks good.

Yay! :D

I'm ready for a nap now. ;)

I watch a couple little boys a couple days a week. One is 5 and the other is 2 1/2. Now that school has started, the oldest is back in kindergarten.

Every morning as dad heads him out the door, I tell him, "Have a good day. Use your big brains. Be a leader. Love you." And off they go.

Today is not one of my watching days so I am home. My Senior in College kid just left for school and I said to him,

"Have a good day. Use your big brains. Be a leader. Love you." I also added, "Play nice with others. Drive safe."

I think he actually snarled at me.
