Working today.

Went to the nutritionist for my 8 week follow up on my lunch break. It was a good visit. Your friendly neighborhood SwitDog has lost 19 pounds since the initial visit back in August :biggrin2: Now dropping the next 20 pounds to get to my target weight is going to be much more challenging. I'll be happy just to maintain where I am through the Holidays. That's going to be tough :( Hopefully, at my next 8 week check-in I won't have found those lost pounds!

I have a guitar lesson and recording session this evening. That means I'll miss the beginning of WS game #2 :Oo: I'll be hurrying home after the session to watch the remainder of the game. Since they have been averaging about four hours I figure I'll only miss a couple innings :p

My work travel schedule has picked up as of late. I was in St. Louis last week, I will be back there again next week, in mid-November, and then again mid-December. I know that's not as much as travel as some members on the board but it's a challenge for me with my MBA studies and classes. It will pretty much be work, homework at the hotel, and then back to work! Very exciting, not! o_O
Good for you! I bet you feel much better - it's good to have a goal to work toward

:encouragement::clap::m_pan:I've been doing the Weight Watchers program and I find it helps if I can try new recipes - it keeps me motivated.

They've changed it recently - when I went to the meeting they said they would no longer do it manually - you had to have the app on your phone (this surprised me)

Came home from work earlier and fell down while trying to take of my pants. I guess I'm old now.
Oh yeah. I also put a rubber cockroach near my co-worker's lunch. She was...not amused.

Your body must be getting old, but your mind is still quite immature! (I like that) :friendly_wink::monkey:

Just gotten to the overlook hotel with Jack, Wendy and Danny...

It's a great read for Halloween
Just started this one on audiobook for about the 50th time. I love listening to this one when the leaves start turning her and it starts getting cool outside. This novel, imho, is an absolute masterpiece.

1) Writing up a complaint to someone with authority on here because of what I perceive as bullying. For instance, I wanted to know why King doesnt wear a cowboy hat/Stetson, and I got something about sniffing armpits. Also, the 'Ghost and Mr. Chicken reference. Also making out I'm wacko. I'm not shure yet whether to fight it.
2) I watched episode 22 of 'Batman: The animated series, Joker's favor.
3)
While waiting for a bus I talked to a fellow and asked him if he played lawn bowls and whether he played at Carrington bowling club. He said he used to play at Crebert Street in Mayfield but since his father died four years ago he don't play so much. I said I have a slight hangover and he said he had already had eight beers this morning at an early opener pub.

Averting catastrophe. The knick-knack shelf was on the brink of falling off the wall. I happened to glace at the wall (which divides the dining room from the kitchen) and saw it starting to come away from it. We have it held up with a squadron of those 3M picture hangers (which really do work) but the top left was peeling away. I immediately cleared it -- my royal antique memorabilia, stuff K made in school, an expensive Frankoma piece, other cool stuff -- and waited for hubby to get home. He had to screw it to the wall, rather difficult as the walls are plaster, but it's there and sturdy now, by gods. I dusted the stuff, packed away a few things and brought others out. I'll take a picture when it's back to normal. Normal, of course, being a relative thing in this household. ;)

Tery, you should have had a go at fixing the shelf yourself. Things can be dangerous if they aren't secured properly. I remember in 1970 I was playing at my sister's house and they had the brick fresco wall thing and I started climbing it but the bricks weren't concreted so one of them fell on my head and I stayed in Narrabeen or Seaforth hospital overnight. Everyone should get stuff checked out where they live to make shure they aren't in danger.

Well to be fair they weren’t meant to be climbed on.

I'm at a loss as to what you're referring to.
