Working.

Realizing that all the big flooring companies are a bunch of liars. I got an estimate from one that says they will match anyones price. Lie! quote was $1000 more than what another place quoted me. They wouldn't budge and applied heavy pressure for cash down payment on the spot. Told them to pound sand! Got a quote from another where the installation alone was $3500. Don't know what the price with materials would have been because I basically told them to go perform an intimate act on themselves. Frustrating.

Anyway, after work it will be BrodyDog walk time before game #3 of the WS!

This weekend is supposed to be cruddy weather wise (Nor'easter heading into NE) so it will be a good time to watch some scary movies in between WS games. Oh yeah, can't forget the ever so much fun homework assignments

What kind of flooring are you wanting to put down? Check out youtubes. You could do it yourself in a day or two. I laid a wooden floor with my sister and it looks fantastic 20 years later!

Ask Marsha, she just did a huge room by herself!

Engineered hardwood over a concrete slab floor. Don't have the time or energy to pull up the carpet that's there now.

I've been looking at the news reports about the Geoffrey Rush case in the courts here. He has been accused of something while performing in a King Lear production. I was also going to buy my Roosters membership for next year but will do that next week. The Roosters won the Grand Final this year and the Red Sox won the World Series. I don't think that will happen next year as no Rugby League team here has won back-to-back comps since 1993.

AND... holy moley, look what came to clean up the bread left behind... the photos are fuzzy sorry, because he moved so damn fast! But, you can see in the last pic that he was right out of the water... that's my shoe on the rocks next to him. A Rainbow Trout! In the river behind my house... so cool.

Amazing huh? I haven't seen Eels in this river for the past few years and trout... hardly ever! I just sat down on the rocks the other day with a piece of bread and thought... hmm, I wonder if they'll come feed like they used to. I chucked a couple bits in and started tapping the water and boom! One little guy turned up within about 5 minutes.
The trout waited for the eel to leave, then tidied up. :biggrin2:
(I tagged Deejers because it always creeped her out that we fed and swam with the eels lol)

Your pictures brought back memories of when you first posted about the eels in your river, swimming with and feeding. That is just so special. Glad they came back. And a trout-- double wow factor. Love your nature.

I love our back yard...
And we're always really careful not to tell the neighbours about them... otherwise they'll end up on somebody's table! :Oo:
[edit: the eels/fish that is, not the neighbours, Halloween n all, thought I should clarify  ]
