Doctors who are running late seeing patients and no one tells you. You get to that little room and wait forever. Hence, why I try to not go to the doctor too frequently.
What little thing would you make illegal just because it pisses you off?

Yes, and this is after they remind you three times about your appointment and tell you to arrive 15 minutes early!
How does this happen? I mean you're only allowed to discuss one thing with the doctor, right? I've tried to bring up a couple of things before only to be told that you have to make a separate appointment for each issue. Really? Whatever happened to just sitting and talking to the doctor about things?
....my grandfather is spinning like a whirligig in his grave!....when he was in practice, that's one of the things he did best-listen.......

Amen! Back when I was employed and had insurance it was $165 just to walk in the doctor's office door. It didn't pay to be healthy because of the huge deductible also. $2,000 deductible a year which never got met except the time I had hernia surgery. Health 'care' is a rip off anymore.
I'm lucky. I've known my doctor since he was a resident doing a pass through the doctor's office I worked at. And they invited him to become a partner. When he first came in, I told everyone, "that man is going to deliver my babies." And he did. He is a great guy. I can sit and talk to him. And I ask him about his family and grand kids, by name. And he asks me about my family, by name. Without having to look it up. I've known him over 30 years.
if you can establish this kind of relationship with your doctor, you become more than just a disease or condition.

No. I am just really friendly and treat people the way I want to be treated. It's kind of hard to be an azz to someone who is polite, respectful and smiling.
That's great to be that close to one's doctor. There is an extra level of comfort and trust there that is challenging to find these days. Hopefully, you picked up on my humor. A positive attitude is surely the passport to enduring friendships and rewarding opportunities.

He is a great guy, I just know one of these days I'm going to go in there and he's going to tell me he is retiring. I will be sick. But, I'll be sick in his presence and he can save me. ha!
Same here. I was 18 when I first visited my doctor. Even though he's no-nonsense and very blunt (that's what I like about him), he always asks about me and teaching (his wife was a teacher too). He will take the time to talk about anything I need to, and I have laughed and cried with him many times during the last 35 years. I dread when he retires too. Another big plus with him is that I have never had to wait for my appointment. Sometimes, he even calls me back early! This is in a medium-sized city, so I feel as if he respects my time, and I appreciate that.
My guy is the same way. He gets me in even when he is booked solid and I can't wait to see him.
he met me at his office one Sunday when my oldest son poked a xmas tree branch in his eye and scratched his cornea.
He recently was pivotal in a medical issue I was having and immediately got me into colleagues who were booked.
I can't imagine aging without him as my doctor!
I would make it illegal to smoke in public places. Imagine this: you're going to the beach, find a nice spot, get settled in with a book and a milkshake, then some $%#@ comes and takes the chair next to you and whips out a cigarette. Now what do you do? Move, after you've already paid for your beach chair or ask him to stop smoking? I've seen so many cigarette butts laying around it's disgusting.
