HiYou've been around GNTLGNT too long.
Here is Jeff Beck and Imelda May doing a cover of "How High The Moon?" by Les Paul and Mary Ford.
Has anyone seen this gig? It was a tribute to Les Paul in the same Jazz club that Les played in almost every week until his death. It was brilliant, Imelda May is great vocalist and Jeff Beck is a genious. It's called Jeff Beck's Rock & Roll Party.
Ha ha ha, Prince Phillip - what an odd ball. Thing is though, even if he weren't married to the queen, he would still get away with it because he is 90 odd.Hi
Imelda may is from Dublin, When she talks(not sing), She has a real inner cityDublin accent. She has a song Kentish Town waltz, she wrote when she lived in England about being broke and iving on stew for days. She is married to the guitarist and has a 20 month old baby and does adverts for the credit union. She is the first Female Irish singer to have her first 3 albums go to No. 1 in Ireland. I was watching her on TV Last night and she has a zany personality. Last month, President Higgins visited the England(the first head of state to do so, in Return for the queen coming to Dublin) and there was an irish night given by irish artists for The president and the Queen and it was excellent. Now about er prince philip, hmm he asked Imdeldas husband did he follow her to ireland and her husband said yes, then PRINCE PHILIP admired Imelda's behind and said "i don't blame you".
Aside prince philip and her majesty were in Ireland for the first time, they went to the guniness brewery and There is Prince Philip happy to take a drink of the black stuff until er the queen took it out of his hand.
love this song. Working Class Hero - John Lennon
Sorry, youtube doesn't seem to like my computer.
That was great...Jason Becker's "Air." Guitar/Keyboard.
He developed ALS (Lough Gherig's Disease) and wasn't supposed to still be alive...and like Stephen Hawking, he's also a genius. I like to think that ALS developed them, instead of the other way around, as they both did some spectacular work in the face of such adversity.
Jason is also a goofy neo-hippy old nerd. I wish I could have known him.
