I'd play along but I've seen only three episodes of The Walking Dead. I like the show fine, but I don't have a say with the telly most nights. I'd record it but I'm too busy during the day to watch.

So.....when I have my own place, I'll be watching the show in its entirety courtesy of Netflix.

Telly? I never knew you were a Brit. I met two on tours. Popular there it seems. Popular here. It's the number one show in the nation. Anyway if they were the first three then you know these doors right?

Maybe one day I'll learn to compress. Meanwhile I invited them here. The above two shots were in the coffee shop, the upstairs entrance of which was the alcove where Rick and co. hid during the shootout with the Woodbury folks-

The door was farther back then and the signs were not there of course but the 48 on the door was.

Soooooo it looks like we are the only Walking Dead fans. Might as well drop the pretense of a game and just share vacation pics.
The shed where the meeting took place is just out front of the last shot. I would be staring right at it but in the show it wasn't very obvious. They make distance out to be farther at times and closer others. The place where Merle began to lure walkers was about 8 miles from here. The interior shots were somewhere else entirely. Notice the weapons by the door. Tour group props.

We always have a great time on vacation. This time was a bit of a question as The Walking Dead has always been MY thing but I made a convert this trip. We saw Sasha pass by but I didn't get a pic so she is a lock for another season and I think I saw Carol who is my favorite. I love the way she listens to all the mushy soul searching crap and then says "we need to secure the armory". Straight to business. Did get a pic of Greg Nicoterro (sp?) at least that's what they said when I was stalking the main gate.-

We stalked but all we got were hints and supposition. We heard shots from over the fence but the action was torturously out of sight. The wall is a perfect insulation. I got yelled at by security for taking this pic which is where the senator hid-

I also got escorted off for getting too close here. You can tell I'm looking at the security officer-

The main gate at Alexandria had these white vans coming and going fairly often to transport the stars but the windows were impenetrable dark tint. I tried all my pic tricks.

All the white vans went across the street from the post office to the cast trailers here-

Sometimes it seemed as if they were filming or getting ready to.-

And here could have been Maggie but who can tell?

Things were too far away. Too many security. Nice security. This guy told us about eating with the zombies. The place for that was just across the fence from a corner grocery.

We got a kick out of how bad (good) security was so we did this pic. In the background is one of them. Lots of white vans. Signs everywhere. Jumpy and secretive. I understand they don't want secrets to leak though. This was with my wife almost spitting distance of Senoia (Woodbury main wall) in front or at my back as I took the pic if you will.

The apartment you see I'm told will figure into future episodes but so far all that has been shot there are the interior scenes for Michones early life. Oh and that track held the train car that Rick and gang escaped from at Terminus while they did the close up and interior scenes.

Glenn could turn to butter. I know I could if a hoard of zombies was on me. We did find some zombies at the coffee shop-
Walking Dead Senoia vacay 064.JPG
And here is the first zombie (in bust form) that Rick met along with my thriller pose-
Walking Dead Senoia vacay 058.JPG
I had thought going zombie myself may have been pushing it too far. I may do that when my daughter and I go so that we can get some pics and other folks can get a shot posing with a zombie. It seems silly but then I'm a dork as my wife is want to point out.

Okay folks, this one is a question. Who did what on this post? There is still a mark where the zombie was pinned here. A sharpie type mark as in step up to your mark for the shot. I'll give you a hint. Merle was trying to hot wire a car while it happened.
Walking Dead Senoia vacay 294.JPG Walking Dead Senoia vacay 288.JPG Although there was also a mark here. Hmmmm hard to decide.
Walking Dead Senoia vacay 283.JPG
I don't remember a number on the door but also no white on the door. This was at the defunct Oaks motel. My crazy GPS sent me 12 miles out of the way to just go back to where I had been and maybe a half mile farther. Crazy. No idea why it did that. I had spent the night not far away and did not know it. Crap I have forgotten the name of the town. Will look it up if you want.
