Wasn’t the Kathy Bates thing was a publicity stunt for a local Misery play adaptation performance
If it was, they didn't seem to notify the staff or the public who were in the store, they looked uncomfortable with it.. I sure would if someone just started screaming at the top of their lungs and you are not in on the story behind it..

That's my understanding.

that stunt was stupid. it was funny the first time I figured it out as some one had to experience it to me, but can you imagine all the people who were in the bookstore and did not know what whst was going. On. it gets posted in some of my crazy customer service customer suck pages and people are like she has a mental problem or they laugh. It’s really dumb.

I think he just feels uncomfortable wiht people calling him sia king. can some one explain what that means? I k ow it’s from the dark tower but I have never read the dark tower
Sai Hill lover35 - It's a title of respect - I guess like "Mr." but somehow it seems more intimate. "Cry yer pardon, Sai" is the ultimate apology. If you call someone "Sai" you really like them. It's a brother or a sister. A forever kind of friend. I don't think SK would find it offensive. But I wonder if maybe constant references to his works get old for him. Maybe. Creative minds bare their souls for our entertainment. That takes a certain kind of bravery. It might be embarrassing to have the deepest parts of your soul constantly out there. But seriously. If you can't get through The Gunslinger, start with Drawing of the Three (my second favorite). Wolves of the Calla was my favorite. "Come play with us"

I can see this predicament being different for different types of celebrities, I'm sure some people don't mind stuff like this but I can understand some people might feel annoyed by the fact that random people constantly greet them as if they constantly exist in the worlds they create/are a part of.

He doesn't mind when folks call him 'Sai King'. It's when they mispronounce it and it comes out as 'Sigh King' when he takes offense. It's a very subtle difference and he expects you to know the old commonwealth way of diction and enunciation. If you don't...he thinks that you are a fake fan. Happy New Year Tetley Tea Birds!

Let’s not RUSH into any hasty decisions. For all I know SK might enjoy living in the LIMELIGHT.

YES was my first concert experience. 1976 Jersey City, New Jersey. They bounced lasers off the skyscrapers in NYC. Relayer shows my oh my....
I love YES, Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, Alan White, Chris Squire. Greatest Prog lineup ever, The Gates part of Relayer is phenomenal. Its an absolute crime that Jon Anderson isn't in YES anymore, and the guy can still sing like its 1977, time for Steve to pick up the phone and call him. YES isn't YES without Jon Anderson.
