All purchased from my local Goodwill thrift store at $1.79 each, all hardcover editions...

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
The Shining
The Talisman
Nightmares and Dreamscapes
Needful Things
The Tommyknockers

The few I had to pass up are;
It
The Dark Half
... I have these in paperback, but they're beat-up. I know next time I go back to the store these books will be gone. It's funny because some of the books just sit there on the shelf for a good while, but the Stephen Kings are snapped-up quick. Haha I've actually seen a couple people look at the books in my hand, and get kind of bummed-out that I got to them first.
Is it just me, or is he more high profile and recognizable ever since Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, etc? (Well I guess it only makes sense!) Not long ago I could find a lot of his books in the book section of the Value Village and got great deals, but lately - not so much :near_tears:

Each day sees the creation of a new Stephen King book collector that begins their quest.....making it harder to find his books.

All hardbacks, bought within the past couple days. I'm addicted more then I was when I first started collecting now. Especially with all of the deals online now. I need to try a thrift store ASAP but it's still hard to stray away from all these good deals online!

There's nothing like the 'rush' one feels when you come across a 'treasure' in a thrift store or used bookstore!

Such a pretty book! It's worth whatever you pay for it. This edition was actually one of three leather-bound books included in a slipcased collection that had two other authors in it, one was Robert Ludlum and I can't remember who the other author was. I found my own King edition at a thrift store. Love it!
