The Exorcist.......for the very first time.

So far I'm loving it.
WOW WOW WOW Blatty writes of a true incident that occurred in Maryland back in the '50s, I believe; the possessed was a boy. Blatty was a student at Georgetown at the time. Scary stuff fer sure fer sure.

Did you know that in every archdiocese there is a designated exorcist, a priest selected by the Archbishop?

I've got a few I'm currently working on. The audio of Joyland, Essence of the Dhammapada and Writers Between the Covers.

T
he last two were wins at LibraryThing.

I'm currently reading Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol". In doing my status of my SK collection, I noticed this book I'd purchased and never got around to reading. So until "Revival" arrives on Nov 11th, I'll be trying to keep up with Robert Langdon. The science of Noetics is a major plot device. :)

I read the book when it first came out and still recall being enthralled by it. And the film still packs a wallop when I watch it.

American Elsewhere by Robert Bennett Jackson.

This was an interesting book. Bennett definitely has writing chops and the concept of this story is an interesting one. Enjoyed the scope and reveals of it but felt the pacing of the book was off. In my opinion the story would have been served if it was 100 pages shorter. There's a lot of stuff with secondary characters that is not needed as none of it is integral to the main story.

There was more than enough on display here for me to definitely want to read other works by Bennett - which is the best measure of a book a writer can hope for.
