Sorry I was replying to "Revival" post

I will get through it. You say true. I don't think I have ever read a SK book that was so hard to read.

Not that it is not excellent. Just hard to read. This one makes you feel every emotion. I am not even halfway through.

No wonder there is a special website for it...
I'm on page 205. It is difficult for me to read also, probably because I'm in such a dark place right now. I agree, it is excellent!

Just finished "Rose Madder", and realized I had read it, a very long time ago, when I was apparently too young to realize the importance of what I was reading. This is a very serious and somber story, but enlightening to those of us who have no idea what it must be like to live with spousal abuse. A horrible subject, a horrible character, not an easy read. Nor should it be. The best stories are the ones we think we'll never be able to relate to, but find out in the end that they've made us think about them more than we ever imagined we would. And, the very best stories help us to understand a little better what that part of us that we call our humanity is all about. "Rose Madder" did that for me.
Rose Madder would have been an awesome book if King had left out the supernatural element(s) and just kept it a straight woman-in-peril book. It could have been a powerful statement on spousal abuse. Norman is one mean mother******!

Beautifully said.

The woods are lovely dark and deep
I have Big Little Lies on my 'to-read' list. I've heard good things! Would love to hear your thoughts about it when you're done with it :) Enjoy!
I am really enjoying this book and I am finding it hard to set it aside for the next one in rotation; the other two are very good also. A lady stopped me in the doctor's office yesterday and told me how much she loved BLL and she recommended another by Moriarity, The Husband's Secret.

Probably going to finish Odd Hours by Dean Koontz today. Not sure what to read next-- Gillian Flynn's Gone Girl,
Richard Bachman's Roadwork (for the first time), or Michael Crichton's Prey. Help me decide??
I just finished Prey by Crichton. First half of book was really good, 2nd half....not so much. Not sure what happened. I went ahead and finished it but it was a bit of chore at the end.
