I have never read this one, so it would be new to me - is this a Bachman book?I'm gonna reread Blaze. I was in a kind of bad place when i read it so my memories are kind of hazy. It just passed me by. But alot of things did back then.
Okay, Mary Donovan, a new member, inspired me to try to read everything I possibly could get my hands on by Stephen in a year as my 2015 resolution.
If anyone would care to join me, feel free. Read what you want, in whatever order you want, as fast as you want. Post here as you go.
January 1st, I will be starting with Carrie.
Yeah, it is. But the cover was blown by then so everybody know that it was King.I have never read this one, so it would be new to me - is this a Bachman book?
Oh my gosh! You are doing great! I am sadly failing. Although, I am currently listening to The Tommyknockers for the first time.
Are you? Let me know what you think when you're done... (I wonder if it will make a difference being an audio? Never-mind, I don't want to say much more until you're finished as I don't want to influence your experience either way.)Oh my gosh! You are doing great! I am sadly failing. So far, I am still at stuff I read when I first tried to read it. I think I got about as far as some kidAre you? Let me know what you think when you're done... The kid is a magician, andSo far, I am still at stuff I read when I first tried to read it. I think I got about as far as some kidwho is being a magician or something like that, and he disappears? Or maybe that's a totally different SK book! hahahaha! I'm thinking I got a little over halfway before I abandoned the whole thing when I first tried.

Finished my Carrie reread last night. I'll get to 'Salem's Lot in the next couple of weeks.

I've started rating SK books by how many boxes of tissues it takes to get to the end. This definitely can really affect a story... let me know what you think. I loved Blaze, but of course it's...

Dana! you serious? Tom Gordon is a great book! Always loved it.THE TOMMYKNOCKERS!!! Yes, I finally "read" a stephen king book for my own damn thread! lol.
Actually, I listened to the audio read by Edward Hermann, he was very good. This was one I had never finished. The first go round, I made it to a kid doing a magic act in his yard. I don't know why, but it just lost me.
At one point in my life, I felt this was Stephen's worst book. I don't think that anymore. I actually felt there were some good moments in this story. My only real complaint would be that there were a gaggle of darlings that needed to be killed. But hell, if I wrote like stephen king, I'd want to keep writing too. This book could have been so much better had it been tightened up, and I'm actually kind of surprised that his editors didn't do it or suggest it. Or maybe they did.
I have revamped my list of stephen's books. CELL now takes over the bottom spot. Or wait, maybe The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.
I own the movie too, a 5 dollar Walmart acquisition. I've never watched it but I will now.
