The woods are lovely dark and deep
I like broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach...all those things 'everyone' hates.
I like having my kids home for the summer.
I don't mind emotional manipulation in books/movies (even when I can see it) if the writer does it well.

:)
Has anyone ever noticed that the above 'good' foods give you a rumbly in the tummy? NO FAIR!

Against the tide: I mentioned this in another thread, but I'm wallet-less. My life needs are met with four cards, a phone, keys, and cash. The cards go in the phone case, and the cash and keys are in my pocket.

With the tide: I can't join the anti-phone thing. I haven't searched in the drawer for a flashlight, or calculator, or map, or Day-Timer, or camera for years because I have a phone. I bank and pay bills on the phone. It wakes me up every morning. I drive a lot, and it steers me around traffic jams, warns me of cops, and gets me to places that I didn't know how to find. I'm not a huge fan of email on the phone, but when it's the choice I have, it does just fine. It also is useful for phone calls.

There are definite plusses. I love the navigator on mine (as I seem to have been born with a marked lack of direction--lol). Online, especially on phone online, banking worries me to death--my daughter and son laugh at me about that, but having had our bank account hacked and emptied once (and right before Christmas, no less) has made me cautious. And I do like the ability to get hold of family efficiently. I'm not anti-, I guess, but more for limited use. :)

(8) I like things stated and done quickly without a lot of long discussion

I never got into Friends. I know so many people who say that's their favorite show, but I just never jumped on that bandwagon.
A couple of members mentioned it, but I hate Facebook. Hate it. Unfortunately, my friends use it a lot so sometimes it's the only way to communicate with them *sigh*

I'm not a very good swimmer, so you'll find me sitting on the edge of the pool......observing for the most part..
I'd be right with you. My mom is terrified of water (except for drinking and bathing--lol), so I didn't learn to swim until I was too old to be fearless: underwater when I was in high school and above water in college (I was on the rowing team, so I promised mom I'd learn to swim :D). I like to paddle around in a pool, but I'm not great at it, and swimming in open water scares me too much to even try.
