I might be swimming against the tide, but...

I'd be right with you. My mom is terrified of water (except for drinking and bathing--lol), so I didn't learn to swim until I was too old to be fearless: underwater when I was in high school and above water in college (I was on the rowing team, so I promised mom I'd learn to swim :D). I like to paddle around in a pool, but I'm not great at it, and swimming in open water scares me too much to even try.

LOL! More because I don't know where the bottom is. Though my dad did take three of us kids to Jaws when it first came out (I was the oldest at 8-lol. Mom was not happy.), then was thoroughly frustrated when we wouldn't go in the water during a special trip to Corpus Christi :D
I can swim reasonably good but i don't like it. When i bath in the ocean i like to stand on my hands with only my legs up above the water and try to balance myself. Kind of difficult with the waves and all but i enjoy it. I know, i'm strange.

If he says Bruce Springsteen I will lose it! :lee:

I would not say it's The Boss. He's more like the Duke, A number 1,of rock!

I say it's Buddy Holly. He wrote his own stuff, was a good musician and producer. Elvis, while a great performer, didn't have the writing, producing or playing skills Buddy did.
