IMHO, the Board does not need to be shut down for the weekends or evenings as it was before. Things may have become testy for some on here recently but why punish the rest who have obeyed rules and regs and acted in a respectful manner? The (chastizing) posts on this particular page will certainly be a wake-up call to those offenders. I mean no disrespect to anyone- this issue (of in-fighting, name-calling, etc.) needed to be addressed and it has been. Those offenders need to cease with this type of behavior immediatly. Or we're all going to have to suffer the consequences.......(wood chipper)
We hear often, "serve at the pleasure of."
We interact here at the pleasure of our gracious host and the appointed administrators. That's how it should be. It's not our house, and we're not paying for it.
But before we get all rancorous, I'll just note that in any large group, dispute, divisions, conflicts, and contentiousness will happen. We're human. It's inevitable. It's not like we're cyphers that will fall into a given category and behave accordingly.
I modestly suggest that none of us lose by taking the high road, and this place has terrific mods that can sort out the wheat from the chaff. This is the best and most good-hearted forum I've ever seen, and if people are true to themselves, their good intentions, and our common purpose, that shall prevail.
And now, just in case I've trod over the line, I will do what the estimable mod said and "Stop."
