Good morning!

TGIF. What a week!

Brandon's car took a poop yesterday. I had to go pick him up, we left it sit until Scott got home from work and then they towed it home. Scott thinks it is the fan, so hopefully it didn't get too hot. He has another vehicle, thank goodness. But he is not happy.
Didn't win anything in the lottery, but it looks like no one else did, either. It is up to $747,000 now. Time to dig for some quarters!! ;)

Today is my 5th anniversary here on the SKMB. Just want to say thank you for all the good times, the laughs, and the shoulders to cry on. Thank you so much for all the incredible friendships I have made here. I love you all so much. I cannot tell you how much my day to day existence is brightened by all of you!:biglove:

Have a really great Friday and weekend! Spidey, fljoe, and Hoss, be safe. And everyone else in the path of the storm.

Sending big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
Happy Anniversary, Tina. You're pretty peachy keen yourself!! Sorry I forgot this special day, but I have enough trouble recalling my own. You'd figure I'd have it down after 34 years.

I'm thinking it went okay--the corporate Shirt who is fronting the publication for 6 months stopped me on the way out to emphasize that he'd be 'touching base' with me on Monday or Tuesday. Not sure the actual editor of the pub was as thrilled, so we'll see. I want to see the pay scheme in writing, as well, as the Shirt didn't want to go into specifics about that at this meeting. Lots of kids--right out of college or just a few years out--so...yeah.The editor might decide I don't fit into her hipster vibe--lol.

Hi everybody. Whew, weekend at last, eh? Made it, by God. Had a power nap, brewing some Java--time to hit the keys and do some scribbling.

Oh, and I figured I'd fill yez in on my 'pub getting torn down' debacle. Now today someone told me that the feed company that bought it is gonna fix it up all nice and re-open it, not tear it down as I was originally told. I hope that's true, but now I don't know which rumor to believe. Can't see them glory-barners serving devil liquor to the townsfolk, but who knows?

If they DO re-open, I hope they keep the old juke box--an old-school cd machine, still four plays for a buck. All that good, classic rock and roll--lotta Stones, Jimi, Grateful Dead, Thin Lizzy. Stuff like that. Those new-fangled wi-fi jukes are too dang expensive. Go Super-Search and its a buck a song. Bah.

And we still better be able to smoke in the place. Don't even wanna go to a bar if I can't smoke.

Is there a way you can contact the owners and as a faithful customer offer suggestions?
