thanks for the levity! you crack me up, man.
I know - I had it in 7th grade - I was down for a month. He says he doesn't feel that bad, but I know it's because he just wants to see his girlfriend!
Wow - those photos. I'm sad for Teri Gar - she definitely has that steroid "moon face". I hope she heals from the MS.
I was thinking the same thing.
Yes - my amazingly large starting player (I'm sorry to say I couldn't tell you his position, but he's on the line - nose guard maybe?). and since he plays football, the doctor sent him for a liver test and I just got the call that yet, his numbers are elevated, which means mono-related hepatitis. This freaked me out a bit, but the doctor said it happens about 50% of the time when someone has mono - they just don't always test for it. But since he plays football, it's important to know. If you get hit in the side while you've got an inflamed liver, it could rupture and that would be a very bad thing. So he's out for the season. Fortunately there's only 1 more game, and next week is Fall Break. But there are 2 other lineman out - 1 broken collar bone and 1 broken wrist. I hated to break the news to the coach. But maybe it'll give some of those B team players a chance to shine. We've won 4 games and lost 2, so it's been a good season! Anyhow, the mono-related hepatitis will resolve itself, it's just part of the virus, so that's good news.
