No, the aztecs were smart. The map says that they hid it somewhere in Teutihuacan, a ruincity from an earlier culture that the aztecs revered. Thats why noone found it yet. They were wise enough to transport the treasure away from Tenochtitlan (today Mexico city) when things started to go wrong. Teutihuacan means about City of the gods in Aztec or Nahuatl.
Have you see the babes on the Acapulco beaches? It is the City Of The Gods. :)

(((((Holly and son))))) Sounds exactly like my childhood. He'll be okay, just look at me. Or just, he'll be okay.
 thanks for the levity! you crack me up, man.

Oh Holly, hope he recovers quick. I was down with mono for a full month. Bedridden down. Yikes.

check out these celebrities then and older -- shocking. One that breaks my heart is Teri Garr. She has MS I think and the disease has taken a toll. poor girl.

And guess who is one of them that looks the best? Shelley Duvall.

I know - I had it in 7th grade - I was down for a month. He says he doesn't feel that bad, but I know it's because he just wants to see his girlfriend!

Wow - those photos. I'm sad for Teri Gar - she definitely has that steroid "moon face". I hope she heals from the MS.

((Holly's son)) Hope he's feeling better soon!

Wow! Some looked better and worse than others, but I do believe that Beverly D'Angelo has had a LOT of work done!:O_O:
I was thinking the same thing.

Not another person not feeling well! Holly, hope your son feels better soonest! Is he the football player?

Yes - my amazingly large starting player (I'm sorry to say I couldn't tell you his position, but he's on the line - nose guard maybe?). and since he plays football, the doctor sent him for a liver test and I just got the call that yet, his numbers are elevated, which means mono-related hepatitis. This freaked me out a bit, but the doctor said it happens about 50% of the time when someone has mono - they just don't always test for it. But since he plays football, it's important to know. If you get hit in the side while you've got an inflamed liver, it could rupture and that would be a very bad thing. So he's out for the season. Fortunately there's only 1 more game, and next week is Fall Break. But there are 2 other lineman out - 1 broken collar bone and 1 broken wrist. I hated to break the news to the coach. But maybe it'll give some of those B team players a chance to shine. We've won 4 games and lost 2, so it's been a good season! Anyhow, the mono-related hepatitis will resolve itself, it's just part of the virus, so that's good news.

My recovery garden is still in bloom. I've had this one pot of gerbera daisies that didn't bloom at all, and then suddenly this week, look:recover garden 2.jpg

And the petunias are still going strong:

I'm going to have to plant some pansies and mums soon because now that I have flowers, I don't think I can be without them. How did I get to be 46 before I understood about flowers and birds?

Oh man, I hope he isn't too bummed, but that sounds like the best course and there is always more football to be played next season. Sounds like a good season too and for certain a winning record which he can be proud of. He should be over this by Turkey day (and be ready to chow down) and have a good Christmas as well. :D

He's pretty bummed - and I'm glad to see that fire in him. You know teenage boys - they can be so apathetic. But he's worried about his team, and that's a good sign. Next year he'll have to really prove himself to play JV.

Yes, I know them well, LOL. My son had the flu once and missed a start on the baseball team. You would have thought it was Game 7. But I'd rather have that reaction than the other....you're right!

Just wanted to let you know... It is clear that i'll get the job. She called to day. They had not got the papers yet but she got a call that they were on the way and would call when they arrived. Then we would set up a meeting to sign the papers and decide a starting day. She also said she had looked at some of the things i'd done earlier thats on the net and was impressed. Said it was an immense work for just one person and that i should be very proud of it. (which i actually are but don't tell anyone...)
