Yep, those are the ones. How old is yer kid? Cause, well, that Savage Sword stuff was kinda intended for mature readers. Like, rated R, you could say. Some graphic violence, occasional nudity (rare). I mean, this is Conan, after all.
I had all the original issues when I was a kid. It didn't warp me--just sparked my creativity and set me to writing and drawing.
I would like to publicly apologize to my son. He just turned 26.
Waaaa , waaaaa, waaaa -- I forgot how old he was, BFD! Baby whiner. Get ahold of yourself.
Well, if you add in the 9 months of gestation, he may actually be 27, right?I would like to publicly apologize to my son. He just turned 26.

Awsome great scoreWell, took a three day trip to Seattle to visit family and do alittle thriftstore/used bookstore shopping. Came home with an unread paperback of Under The Dome Part 1 (already had Part 2), an unread larger Scribner 1st paperback reprint (2012) of Black House, a nice paperback of Deadline by John Dunning, an unread paperback original of The Year's Best Horror Stories IX (contains The Monkey by you-know-who), a nice hardback copy of Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh and an unread beautiful ARC of The Damnation Game by Clive Barker.
Wow - you do have a lot of luck - great find!Today I came home with an absolutely beautiful unread hardback 1st printing of Cujo! Can't imagine where/how this book has been hidden all these years. Goodwill for $1.99!
AMAZING! So happy for you! Someday I will find a first edition of this book as well.Today I came home with an absolutely beautiful unread hardback 1st printing of Cujo! Can't imagine where/how this book has been hidden all these years. Goodwill for $1.99!
Woohoo! Score! I couldn't work in a thrift store. I'd have to buy all the books like that. How does one just drop off a 1st printing of Cujo at Goodwill?Today I came home with an absolutely beautiful unread hardback 1st printing of Cujo! Cleaning out a house or attic and not a Constant Reader I guess! ??Woohoo! Score! I couldn't work in a thrift store. I'd have to buy all the books like that. How does one just drop off a 1st printing of Cujo at Goodwill?
We have only one used bookstore (and it's the size of a shoebox!) here. Local thrift stores have teeny book sections as well.Cleaning out a house or attic and not a Constant Reader I guess! ??
(I wish they had better King books at Value Village). If they find out someone is a collector they would probably jack up the prices.
(That used to be a cheap place to shop at one time).
Sounds like you need to go on a road trip morganWe have only one used bookstore (and it's the size of a shoebox!) here. Local thrift stores have teeny book sections as well.
Yep - permanently!Sounds like you need to go on a road trip morgan
.That's a great find.I ordered Joe Hill's Horns online a week and half ago - already have a hardcover first edition, but it was in very good condition and a great price (I do this sometimes when I can because I can always gift them to others). I've been hoping to luck out again like I did with Heart-Shaped Box - got a signed first edition! Well, believe it or not, it arrived in the mail today and it IS a signed first edition!! JH even doodled a little devil on the title page above his signature! I'm so happy and blessed. Been having a hard time lately and I am so grateful for the ray of sunshine.
