Thanks Spidey - it was the usual - first day of snow on the ground and people were driving like they had never seen the stuff before!

I am just glad that tomorrow is Friday - hurray!

Lol! It's the same here when the first snow has fallen.

What Will This Abstract Image Test Reveal About Your True Self?

Quirky & Opinionated
c70080c2-fb17-4fa4-845f-7201be1490e9.jpg

Based on your associations with the abstract, you tend to be a shy and quiet person, but you also have tendencies to be eccentric and full of energy. Regardless, you are a deep, intellectual thinker who loves helping others and believes firmly in a number of causes. You are a diplomat who is able to easily solve problems and quell conflicts. You don't care for social norms and standards and tend to do things your own way. One of your pet peeves is when people try to constrain or limit you, since you crave freedom and independence. Sometimes you can appear cold or insensitive, but you have a deep and genuine concern for humanity and once you let someone into your world, you are good at expressing your emotions. You have a talent for exploiting your creative imagination for business purposes and this will get you very far.

Got that too. And it's sounds like me.

Take care out there...

Schadenfreude! ;-D

She is doing pretty well thank you. And I'm a dope for not giving an update. We finished the blood thinner shots a few days ago so that was a major milestone. Imagine having those delivered by the steady hand of Out of Order....She still gets very tired and anything strenuous is a no go, so as a result I will be doing most of the cooking. I have been getting prepared for it by keeping my head over a hot stove for longer periods of time each day. It has gotten me used the excessive heat and I now have a beautiful fall tan as well. Albeit only on one side of my kisser.........

I have prepared a litany of jingles for my cooking. My wife is going to be very blessed......You don't know any good green bean jingles by chance?

OoO can cook.:chew: My Dad would have been freaking out and ask other women (his mom, sister in law etc.) to cook the dinner. :biggrin2:

I am so jealous I wished we would celebrate Thanksgiving.

There's a creepy green-bean casserole.
it's creepy because it really grows.
It just sits there by the kitchen sink,
and Man OH MAN, does it stink?!?!?!?
The other day, just as I got out of bed,
I was in the kitchen when something tapped my head.
And believe it or not!! Lo and behold,
It was the dreaded green-bean casserole!
It grabbed me and slammed me against the door,
then it pinned me to the hard, cold floor!
I called for help, and hoped I would be heard.
But, the only thing that came was the Thanksgiving Bird!
The casserole, seeing this new enemy,
went after it and forgot about me.
The bird gave the casserole a left, then a right.
Now that's what I call a real food fight!!!

Not sure I can remember all the words, but I'll give it a shot!!

Out of Order - May your Thanksgiving be blessed. Continued recover vibes for your wife. Am sure the meal will be spectacular.
The Danube is green,
what's more it ain't clean.
It's green as a bean.
It ain't not serene.

Thanks Spidey.

Now that's a jingle I can remember.....:biggrin-new:

Not to worry, niro. I'll save you some gravy!!:D

Based on your associations with the abstract, you are an intuitive, sentimental and emotionally sensitive person. You can be hard to get to know and are very internal about your emotions. Sometimes you have mood swings where you can act selfish and go into fits of rage, but one of your strengths is persistent determination. You really value the feeling of home, family and comfort. You enjoy the simple things in life and you are very dedicated and loyal in your personal relationships. You always look out for the well-being of others.

The leftovers, absolutely! That is one of the best parts about cooking at home, all the leftovers. ;-D

I am going to need to clean out my fridge at some point between now and Thanksgiving. So I have room. ;-D
I'm making The People eat leftovers tonight, to get a large part of the fridge cleaned out :) Our WinCo had a great deal, just for today: if you spent over $100 on groceries, JennieO turkeys were $.37/lb! I spend more than that every week (lol), so I couldn't pass up he chance to get a HUGE turkey for a teenytiny amount of money. Not sure if we'll use it for T-giving or not, but it'll get eaten :) Got just about everything we need, aside from whatever The People want for appetizers.

(I'm ignoring the snow news, too--lol. NOT looking forward to it getting here)

Wow, that is an excellent deal on turkey! JennieO turkeys are good, too. I think that was the kind I made for my very first Thanksgiving I cooked. I didn't see any of those here this year.

Today I interviewed the mayor, two council members, a biker reverend, the owner of an almost six decades old bar, and a Mormon stake president. Plus shopping and putting it all away, and ferrying kids from place to place. All in all, a productive day :) Now I have 5 newspaper articles to write, but I think Ill give it a rest until tomorrow.

Wow - what a day! That's a cool job you got!
It sounds like you're hosting Thanksgiving! I've somehow managed to get to 46 without ever cooking a turkey or hosting Thanksgiving.
