So, is the killer the guy that plays the President in Scandal?Watched Ghost (1990) on Netflix last night. Hadn't seen this one in eons. It's hard for me to watch movies starring actors who have passed away. Remembered most of the movie, but think I appreciated Whoopi Goldberg's performance more this time around. Probably liked it more the last time I saw it because I was in love at the time!
Argento's Dracula-Hammer homage with a lot more gore and boobies. Pretty good. Blonde Dracula just throws me right out of the story, though. DRACULA IS NOT BLONDE.

Last Action Hero. I've always wanted to see this and am finally doing it. It's very interesting.
I remember liking that one at the time I first saw it--I couldn't understand why it was getting panned everywhere. Now I don't remember anything about it but that it had a kid in it (I think). What did you end up thinking about it?
I think it's entirely unique and that I have to watch it again to get everything that's in it.
9 to 5. Great comedy with one of my favorite actors Dabney Coleman.

The War of the Worlds (1953). I've seen it plenty of times but not for years. I love some of the old scifis.
The Human Stain. I've never read the book, but I thought the film was very well-done. I wish I hadn't seen a major spoiler online right before I watched though 
I bet you dig Forbiddon Planet, eh? It's worth it just to see Anne Francis runnin around in skimpy space outfits.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2 - decent resolution, if not your typical happy end.
The Lady In The Van - poignant but funny true story two-hander with Maggie Smith.
Steve Jobs - a peek into Jobs life in 1984, 1988, 1998. Gripping and absorbing.

Spectre.
A decent addition to the Bond menu. Not amazing, some of it eye-rolling, but what Bond movies doesn't have those moments, and not very original. Like Silverado did with Westerns, Spectre snags all the Bond cliches and delivers them reasonably well (but Silverado did it better).
We double-dated with dear friends and watched it in a new "theater bistro" in town. A very nice movie experience. We ordered food and beer, had our reserved seats, which had food trays and cup holders, had our food (hamburgers and chicken wraps) delivered to us. The enjoyment of that theater experience and the camaraderie may have helped the movie seem better than it actually was, but we all enjoyed it.

At the complex when Bond makes that one shot and moments later, Armageddon. I started chuckling but kept it to myself, I really did, because what came to mind that I couldn't get rid of was:
Spectre
As a Roger Moore fan, I thought this was a top movie. I liked Casino Royale a lot, but I like my Bond a bit goofy. Craig, Seydoux and Waltz were all excellent. I hope they all return in the next one.
