These come to me often, I wonder if I'm alone?

I knew a scary woman that was a French Chef, she gave me the crepes.
This washed up a minute before I posted it. There's an ocean of them in my brain waiting to beach themselves so we'll have to sea. Hopefully this will tide you over until then...
I love this kind of wordplay. Do you have more?
That might be a completely different thread, butchered sayings. Yours, quite literally....running around like a chicken with it's legs cut off....once uttered on my radio show....
I like it. I'm also a big fan of miss-quotes like your butchered chicken quote. Specially because it's a missquote, and it represents a literal butchered chicken. Mmmmmm delicious! My stepmother is Bohemian. She messes up every saying or wives tale that she's ever spoken. When she tells a joke, the telling of the butchered joke is funnier than the joke told correctly. It may or may not be a genetic predisposition, but I've heard from others that know Bohemians, that they do the same thing to sayings and jokes. My apologies to all the Bohemians I've just insulted....indeed...only thing I could think of on quick notice....ummm, "She said the wine tasted "off". Personally I think it's just sour grapes"....
By all estimations, you're only about 85 years late in making up this quote."Go fly a kite" is what I say. not sure if this is a real saying or not.I just made it up! My image is actually someone flying a kite when I say it....

My dear old Mom used to say "Oh - go fly a kite!" (She was born in 1925!)

So maybe you have been reincarnated notebookgirl
Yeah, stick with "go fly a kite", 'Go fly a latter' just doesn't have the same ring to it...Not sure where I got it. I am the only one who ever says it that I know! ha! I should have looked it up before I posted, but I will keep saying it! Better than saying the latter!
