I am happy today because I found a summer job. Yay!! I started to work on Tuesday in a golf restaurant called Drop Place.
The restaurant is next to our local golf field and I am so happy that the owner wanted me to come and work for them. I like
to work there and the co workers are great.

It was a rough night last night here. Hubby is on nights, had to sit up to watch the sprinkler and then after just barely getting to sleep around 11, Ali is tap tap tapping on my shoulder to tell me the police are in our backyard with flashlights. (They weren't, but there were flashing lights, they were on the next street up. We have apparently traded one bunch of crazies from across the street to some directly behind us. 3 times in the last week there have been police there, one of those times because we called them. The guy was cutting through our yard and Scott told him this was private property, don't walk through our yard. The guy completely flipped out and threw a patio chair over his 6 ft tall privacy fence clean down in the middle of our yard and then it was a shouting match. He now has a trespass warning against him. I tell you I do not know what is happening around here.)

Anyway, after watching that whole situation it was after midnight by the time I got back to bed. Then awake at 2, coughing my head off, because I just keep getting sick. I think it was after 4 by the time I fell asleep again. Up a little before 6.

So after all that I am happy that I managed to get myself a nice hot shower before all the babies arrive for the day. I almost feel like a human being right now. :encouragement:

I am quoting myself because I forgot to say yesterday that we have no idea who this guy is or where he came from. I made us sound like we were the awful neighbors. Haha! But, the last we knew there was an elderly couple living there. Ever since we have lived here it was an elderly couple. So we did not recognize this new person, and who wants to let their kids out to play when you have crazy people walking through your yard and throwing lawn furniture around?

All was quiet last night. Except for days, the gate/door to their fence has been lying on the ground and now today is the 3rd day the back door has been standing wide open. Has not been shut for 3 days. I thought maybe they had it open for air flow at first, we have had some really sweltering heat but it has not closed at all.

Kind of worrisome.

I'm happy today because. I kicked a and took names in pt on Monday. My physical therapist said and I quote " you're a stud" then the next day I had pt again and was able to increase my weight lifting amount. And we pushed the work out really hard and today I'm only soar muscle soar not shoulder going to explode out of my ear soar. So that's progress and a half

Slow and steady and you win the race. Sounds like you are on the way to healing. Good vibes your way!!

Maybe you should ask the cops to do a welfare check. That gave me goosbumps just reading about it. Ask to remain anonymous. Or did I miss part of the story?

We did talk about a welfare check, but the door was open 2 nights ago when the police were there. I think this guy just doesn't take care of things, or maybe he broke the door like he did the fence gate in a tantrum like he had at us the other night. He clearly doesn't try to take care of his own things or respect his own, let alone other people's property.

That's nuts! I hope you have a gun in the house. I've got a pistol and I'm not afraid to use it. It would be a last resort, obviously, but my family comes first.

We do. Would be a last resort here, too, but I am here alone with the kids a lot. I would not hesitate to use it, if someone broke in here.
Hopefully it never gets to that. I came close to using mine once, when some sh!tfaced dimwit started knocking on doors at 11pm on Halloween night and demanding candy and then refusing to get off my porch.

I am happy today because...

My eldest niece has been bugging me for years to visit her and my siblings in the States. Haven't been there since 2010. Mostly work and life-stuff kept preventing me from taking a real vacation. So she finally broke down and told me why she absolutely NEEDED to have me in Orlando for the last week in July. She booked tickets for her and I to see my favourite band (mostly) reunited, whom I had never seen perform before. Here I come, USA.

She always was my favourite. :)

I am happy today because I plan to read, write, spend time with my kids, but most of all because a new Outlander is on tonight!!! I know, I feel like I'm cheating on Stephen King with Diana Gabaldon sometimes; I enjoy her books almost as much as his. I would like it dually noted that I picked up a copy of Eyes of the Dragon yesterday at a hidden used bookstore and I plan to re-read it today. I haven't read it since I was eight but I know that it was dedicated to his daughter. Since I live in a fantasy world and share her name, it feels like it is dedicated to me. I can't wait to go back and re-read it now. I can already see shades of The Stand and The Dark Tower in it.

I am happy that this week is over. Just have to do Monday talk with boss.

I am happy that the young Folcroft police officer who was shot 7 times, is awake and walking and smiling , upgraded from critical to stable - and the borough had a gathering for him. Good to see one joyous and not for a death.

And they got the guy who shot him. eee ahh MF

I'm happy today because after a crappy morning of getting jacked around by the insurance company again (in addition to all of last week), things are finally looking up. Haven't been feeling great today, but I was able to help my mom out with some stuff and it made me feel a bit better about my own crud. :)
