Those words are pretty powerful, eh? No wonder Mr. King calls the book "A MASTER".I didn't think I was either, but I might be now.
Nothing to be sad about. Straub was never a big fave with me. The only one of his i fully approve of is Ghost Story.I finished reading Floating Dragon yesterday and I hate being the only one here who didn't much like it but here I am admitting it to the world I got bored with all the thoughts and thoughts about thoughts and more thoughts about thoughts about thoughts and even with all those character's thoughts, I never felt like any of the characters were more than two-dimensional.
I kept reading it just because I wanted to know the reason you-know-who did you-know-what but if the reason was ever stated, I missed it
No need to feel shame! Straub isn't for everyone. His books reward multiple rereads, I've found.I finished reading Floating Dragon yesterday and I hate being the only one here who didn't much like it but here I am admitting it to the world I got bored with all the thoughts and thoughts about thoughts and more thoughts about thoughts about thoughts and even with all those character's thoughts, I never felt like any of the characters were more than two-dimensional.

Dark Matter is awesome! One of my favorite reads this year, so far.Started Dark Matter by Blake Crouch last night. The first chapter was excellent but my eyelids got heavy and I couldn't go any farther. It has a very promising start.
Nice! Not that anyone is wondering why it's taking me so long to finish Salem's Lot, I'll explain: I have no excuse- better time management is in order. (When I read, my toddler wants to be read to).Started re-reading Desperation today, as tropical storm Hermine is closing in!! It rained all last night and all day today, but the projected path is just north of me. Nice reading weather, all curled up in my comfy sweats with a cup of coffee, listening to the rain come down.
Just ok? No gypsy pie for you, Mr. Man!Just finished Thinner. Thought it was okay.
I read Thinner as a child and loved it.Just ok? No gypsy pie for you, Mr. Man!
