The woods are lovely dark and deep
I'm currently reading The Green Mile. It's been on my to read list for a little while, and I've finally got around to reading it. I finished the first book, and nearly half way through the second. After that, I'll be starting The Stand or IT, I haven't decided, yet.
The Green Mile was one of my favorites and The Stand is my absolute favorite. As far as It goes not so much love there, but maybe I need a re-read.

Started Dark Matter by Blake Crouch last night. The first chapter was excellent but my eyelids got heavy and I couldn't go any farther. It has a very promising start.
That's one of the options for my book club for October. The Wayward Pines series was okay, so if this is the ultimate choice (members are still voting) it sounds like it could be good :)

Beginning my Halloween Bingo reads today, with The Turn Of The Screw. Also continuing my SK reread with Skeleton Crew.
REALLY enjoyed The Turn of the Screw, Cody! I hope you do, too :) If you get a chance, see if you can find the movie The Innocents. blunthead introduced me a couple of years ago, and it's a very nicely done adaptation of James' book. Truly creepy.

Am I the only one on the board who likes Peter Straub? ;;D

It's okay...just don't expect supper on time. :)

I've enjoyed everything I've read from Straub, only about 10-12 titles, but he rocks the cradle. Reading Finders Keepers now, maybe 40% done, kindle. I like the idea of telling a story where the reader can fill-in-the-blanks, oh, so they were there at the job fair, that sort of thing. Maybe I'll jump right into Watch since it is available. I think Cronin's...last? is available, too? Don't know how much truth there is to it, but maybe Finders Keepers has a larger number of what I'll call...ummm...hypothetical characters. Don't want to take the time to sieve through my highlights to say exactly what I mean, not that anyone would understand anyway. And that's just as well. Delivery truck driver just called...he's on his way, Chassell. So. Happy Thursday! :)

Nice! Not that anyone is wondering why it's taking me so long to finish Salem's Lot, I'll explain: I have no excuse- better time management is in order. (When I read, my toddler wants to be read to).
We end up switching to Afraid of a Bat! What's Up With That? by local author, Conrad Storrad. It's a great book for kids told through the POV of a bat! :bat:

It was the same for me when my daughter was a toddler!! You're setting a great example of loving and sharing books. My daughter just started college last month, she's an avid reader who often suggests books she has read that she thinks I'll like. It's great having a kid who loves books, keep up the good work!

Thank you! My teenager enjoys Sci fi fantasy. He refuses to read what I suggest because he's going through an oppositional phase. Hopefully that changes soon.
The little one is playing with the new Harry Potter book I purchased for Danny as I write this. Time to read!

Have started Baal by McCammon. His first which can be seen compared to later works but so far very much worth reading.
This evening im taking a break though. Suddenly i just felt i had to read Agatha Christie. Started A rereading of The Hollow by her. One of my faves of her (actually have all of her crime fiction in my shelfes, a necessity since this strange need fall over me with regular intervals).

How do you play that?
:ghostface::rofl:
It's an event being hosted over on Booklikes, where I blog. Here's the card:

You pick one book for each square. Turn Of The Screw is my 'classic horror' pick. Forty or so people are playing- it's sort of a way of bringing the Booklikes community together. :) It's fun!

That's really cool! And here I thought you misspelled "Binge"!
