Pretty, pretty lady (Rita Moreno was great in this one, too). Boring, boring movie. I can't go with you here, Señor Rat. Very few classic musicals that I can stomach for more than a few minutes.

Oh, I hear ya, mom. I used to feel like that. But, the older I get, the more I dig musicals. Dunno why.

Oh, and the Finnish resistance cross country skiing deal? Can't help you. I'm gonna have to google.

I also can't stand these tough gang dancers.

I can't stand a group of kids singing in the Alps while fleeing the Nazis........;-D

Well roll this one in your dooby and smoke it...I liked West Side Story but didn't like Citizen Kane. I mean, it was all right but not the totem to which all other movies must be measured. :)

heel, toe, shuffle, spin, shank, slide, bleed, shank and pirouette.

Yeah, it loses something.
'Everything's alright in America!
If you can fight in America!
Everything's alright in America! If you can fight in America!'

I saw this movie one time when I was around 12 and still remember the lines!!! (at least I think it's the correct lines to the song)

And i agree with that. Citizen Kane is overrated.
But do you know what 'Rosebud' refers to or its history?

Now, I do think some iconic music came out of the film, but you got one line messed up.

Everything's alright in America! If you can jazz hands in America!'

Uh, the sled.
Um, you could refer to it as a sled........ Rosebud was a term that William Randolf Hearst (who was a media kingpin back in the day- owned pretty much every newspaper in the nation) used for his lady's nether region. He and Orson Welles were enemies (after Hearst trashed one of his movies in his syndicated newspapers or something along those lines) and Welles got his revenge by using 'rosebud' in the film. Google it.
