...so much for Schilling's bloody sock...now it's Bauer's bloody drone pinkie....:facepalm_smiley:

You have to feel bad for a player. Getting pulled for an injury in post season really sucks. (I realize people at the dome didn't feel bad for him...but I wasn't there and I do.)

Admittedly, I did hope getting into your bull pen in the first inning might help....it didn't.

Travis, who was pulled for an injury the last game in Cleveland is out til the spring. I feel bad for him, but hoped that might help us too. He makes a lot of fielding errors. Could use his bat though.

Thought it would be a tough series for the Jays with how well The Tribe is playing, but never thought a sweep might be in the works. Not counting out The Jays just yet though, too many clutch hitters in that line up to do that.

For three games, we are always just one home run away from taking it.

I'm not giving up hope yet, but even if they do get swept, they still made it to one of the 4 teams in the world. And that's worth celebrating. (I was going to say one of the top four in NA, but, I don't think there is any league anywhere that is comparable to MLB.)

Oh, they deserve some kudos. They did knock off Texas!!! (#1 Seed!!)

Coming back from 0-3 can be done. The 2004 Sox did it.
It's extremely difficult, though.

I'd like to see a Cubs / Indians series. Cubs look like they've got their hands full with the Dodgers.

Well, there's always today's game for that.....;)

I really hope not.

I was actually expecting a lot if protesters but they seem not to be dwelling on that, though it's in the news here.

Toronto's favourite voice of baseball on the radio refuses to use the names of the teams from Cleveland or Atlanta. He has refused since the World Series game when a fan sent him a letter explaining why it was offensive to him.

This week someone went to an Ontario court in an attempt to get the name and logo banned in Ontario. (How that got to court in just days in beyond me.) The judge rejected the ban. He did not immediately give reasons. But, to ban it would have meant to block it from being shown on tv....and that's not going to happen.

Personally, I think the guy should be cleaning up his own back yard first. Edmonton's football team also has an offensive team name. And I'm pretty sure some schools and junior league teams in Canada also do. Do not ignore them while going after a team in another country.

I try to not use the names or terms associated with First Nations in reference to the teams. I sometimes slip.

I am not trying to turn this thread into a PC discussion. I am just explaining why I expected protesters.

The Indians are an eyelash away from sweeping the Jays. I don't feel so bad about the BoSox losing now. Cleveland is the real deal.

Over on the NL side, I hope the Dodgers pull it out. It'll probably be the end of the world if the Cubs should win the WS.

It's Bartman's fault.
