Hey guys. I'm sure you've heard of the I-85 burning bridge collapse here in Atlanta. It's amazing that no one was hurt, or so it's believed at this time. It's going to be crazy here for a few months and maybe even for a year. I live a good ways a way but I know that rerouting will bring more traffic to my area. We'll just have to deal with it and I think we'll be fine. I've also heard that there were homeless people that live in that area under bridge. That concerns me. Take care all.

Well the bridge is open again . . .I will not go across it for a while. They put that dang thang up too quickly for my taste!

How's everybody? Are you being nice?

That was awful! We need more money spent on infrastructure. That won't be the last major collapse of a bridge, I fear.

Nice? Nice how? :p

I remember when the first big flood came through my hometown when I wuz a kid, back in '82, washed (or as the locals say, warshed) a big old hole through the bridge that crossed the magnificent Tippecanoe River...Wha'll, land sakes, I thought that was it. Thought we wuz all goners. I was, like, eight. We hadda get to the road in pappy's trolling boat, cause that's all we had that wuz left that would float (it was already up past the wheat and oats), but I found solace pretending I was the Gillman from Creature from the Black Lagoon. Yessum.

Oh, wuz I still talking? Don't listen to me.

Sure. here is my favorite experience to share. My son wanted a puppy. So for his 4th Birthday, we let him pic off craigslist the puppy he wanted. So we went and this place had 2 batches of puppies. He picked one out and named him Otis. So we had him a couple days. Otis got really sick. We took him to the vet. Very sad, he told us he had a very bad case of parvo, and there was very little chance of him surviving. We decided to put him down as the vet told us it would be very costing. Our son looked at Otis and said his very first sentence. I love you Otis. It brought tears to our eyes and changed our minds ,we had to try. To this day our son and Otis are a happy couple. I hope this helps you to not be as concerned. I will keep you and Alexander in my thoughts. Please keep us updated on his progress.

Recopied as I somehow got this added to quoting you,Not sure what I did.

"I love you, Otis"

I'll think of that today whenever I feel sad

Thanks for sharing such a nice story king family fan :biglove:

I have accomplished exactly nothing so far today. ;-D Been catching up on posts, because I didn't do much of that while we were on break.

It is snowing in Casper right now! That is not much SW of me. Blech!! Just overcast here, but only 38 degrees. Chilly!

Have a good afternoon! Big hugs and positive vibes to all. :love_heart:

Behind you
I am having a insect day and not happy about it. It started this morning with a huge thing crawling up the inside of my car window toward the opening. I had to drive miles with one eye on him while he hung on, inches from my face. I was sure he was going to get blown into me. Got him out when I could stop. It flew - whatever it was. Had paddle like things for back legs.

Then. Felt something on my arm at work. Ack. Stink bug!

Finally - (I hope) Outside for break - I went to get a strand of hair that was blowing about. But the strand kept coming, and turns out it was part of a web with a spider dangling from the end of it.

yep.
