I love your studio and you deserve this creative space more than anyone I know. You have wanted it for so long!As promised, although I'm still doing some tweaking and finishing details, here are pictures of my studio space and reason for working beyond original retirement date. I'm posting them somewhat in order to orient them to the space but may have to do this in more than one post to get all the pictures in. Finally got the chance to start my first project after setting everything up. Even though I have a lot of sewing projects in various stages of completion, I decided to do weaving instead. My aunt asked me to make kitchen towels that she will give as Christmas gifts and I'd been wanting to do weaving for a while now but didn't have a good spot to put the loom until now. To be continued . . .

Your local Home Depot or Lowe's would have one.I want a Kreg pocket hole jig.
Thanks! Hopefully it will stay that way. A lot of the furniture had just been taking up space in my garage. Now I'm glad I decided to hang onto it.I like how there is so much free space! I think one can work better when not trapped by too much furniture.
I learned a good lesson about trusting my memory when I haven't done something for a long time, which is don't! I should have watched the youtube video first to refresh myself on how to warp the loom instead of thinking "I've got this." Twelve hours later I still didn't have the yarn all untangled after removing it from the loom so that I could do it right after finally watching the video. The next day it only took me 90 minutes to get it ready and thought I'd be able to possibly get them done by the end of the day until I finally "got" what the instructions meant and had to order a different size yarn for the beginning and end of each towel. That should be arriving today so might be able to get going once I get home from work. Hopefully they turn out decent after all this.It looks beautiful, Marsha! Enjoy every minute crafting! Can't wait to see the woven kitchen towels!
