How did he like them? I think the material around my toes would drive me crazy--I can't even stand socks between my toes.
I cannot handle anything between my toes either. I will even take off a sock if I feel a little bit of lint from the sock, remove the piece of lint, and put my sock back on.

EXACTLY! If sock fabric gets even a little bit between my toes I have to find a place to take my shoe off and correct the problem :)
How do you manage to get socks between your toes?

I can't do a flip-flop either.
Sometimes a little sock fabric just sneaks in there, like a toe wedgie. *shudderU

I love flip flops - but mostly I love strappy wedges.

Gross foot stories:
Dana Jean I actually had someone hurl on my feet once at the Beale Street Music Festival. Since then I don't wear sandals to large public drunken stupors. Also, once I was walking to lunch with some friends downtown and felt something warm and icky on my foot. I had walked into an exploded pigeon, all over my lovely strappy sandals. I don't like pigeons anyway but exploded ones...well, they're the worst. Fortunately there's some really cool ground fountains downtown and I was able to wash my feet on the way. Memphis is super cool.

I've been wearing those old-fashioned canvas Keds that lace up. I didn't think I could handle wearing a closed toe shoe (my piggies do not like it when they can't wiggle) but Keds have plenty of toe room and they're light-weight and the soles are flexable (I can't handle stiff soles that don't bend) and they come in different widths and they go where you go (I don't know if that makes sense). Wearing Keds is pretty close to going barefoot.
