We have that rule and it extends to anything said in the wee small hours of the morning if either on (mostly me) gets woken up.
I remember one night many moons ago, I had somehow pulled all the blankets over to my side of the bed, I woke up to my wife yelling "QUIT PULLING ALL THE G.D. COVERS OFF OF ME, I'M FREEZING!" In the same instance, she went back to sleep and had no recollection the next morning while I was laughing asking her about it....lol

Absolutely not. Mornings are horrible!!! If the alarm stands on 7 am it is terrible. I wake upp, say to myself - Only 5 minutes more- and wake up again at 10 or 11. Has happened several times. And since i'm not a coffee person i add to my breakfast a can of Coke or i wouldn't function for morning work. Luckily now i work from home so i can get up later, no travel time, but 8.30 am is still very early for me. As soon as weekend comes i shift into nightmode. Wake up by 11 am or in extreme cases not until 3.00 pm. I can still, when there have been several nights in a row when i've sleeping badly (sometimes that is Kings fault. Some of his books are too good to put down) i can sleep 16 or more hours at one stretch to cover for those hours lost. Of course, that will only make it harder to get up the next morning. Funnily enough i seldom have these problems on vacations. Seems the body relax in another way then.

Absolutely love, love, LOVE mornings. Up at 5:40am daily, even on weekends. Treadmill for half an hour, shower, coffee... all by 7:00am. Would rather sleep in, but that time before everyone else gets up is golden to me... and you gotta pay the price to get it.
I think you might not know the true meaning of sleeping in.

We have our routine.

When Grandma has her 6:00 am shift, we set both our phones for 5:00 or so. Hers goes off, and she tries to ignore it. Mine goes off, and I keep reminding her that she needs to get up. She finally does so, tells me she wants me to rest, and sometimes I go back to sleep and sometimes not, and it's weird, but before she leaves, she has to give me a goodbye kiss, and if I'm asleep, then she wakes me up anyway, but usually it's okay, because I'm faking it. Then she leaves, and I get up and get some work done.

On weekends, I get up and get work done, or cruise SKMB, or maybe work out (as if), or whatever. She'll get up anywhere from 9:00 to 10:30, and I'll fix her breakfast. Usually an egg scrambler with sauteed mushrooms, bell peppers, onion, spinach, various spices, and two to four different kinds of cheese. We grind our own coffee, so that's made too. She tells me the eggs are delicious, and we eat while we read the morning paper.

Man, we are old and boring.
That sounds very nice! (not boring at all) :couple_inlove::encouragement:

...and what is this "treadmill" of which he speaks????....
Speaking of treadmills, I want to buy one. During these winter months, the weather affects my running times, and I'd like to be able to use a treadmill if I can't run outside.
Does anyone have any tips for buying a treadmill?
What features do I definitely want?
I can probably spend between only $300-500, so I know that limits me. I won't be walking on it; only running. I found several on Amazon, but it's hard to tell what's best.

I wish I could help you out - I just use the ones at work as luckily we have an affordable Fitness Centre there. 500 does not sound like enough actually but I am going by Canadian prices and it seems as if everything up here costs more than down in the States.

NordicTrack® 3.0-HP C900i Treadmill - Sears | Sears Canada

If you just wanted it for walking I would go with something cheaper but running is a different story. Maybe try a reliable used one? or put up an ad somewhere?

I am absolutley a morning person and I love it. I'm out of bed by 6am most every day, even weekends when not working. During the week I love the time it gives me to get ready for work, which starts at 8:30 am, without rushing around. I can make our lunches, sit and have coffee and watch a bit of the news. On the weekend, I can get the laundry done (shared washer and dryer down the hall; we live in a 15-story condo) and other household chores, go to the gym, food shopping and it's all done by noon.
