I am so not a girly girl.
Pantene shampoo and conditioner, dove soap... Olay moisturiser, bit of mascara (no idea of the brand) and that's it.
Coconut oil is really trendy right now. Hell, according to the internet it will probably stop potential world wars and cure cancer. It's an oil, just like every other. It'll do the job to moisturize skin. I was just re-reading The Handmaid's Tale & she saved her butter pats from dinner to use as lotion--lol.I was looking at popcorn recipes and wondered why so many recipes listed coconut oil as an ingredient as I'd always thought it was one of the "bad" fats. So I searched coconut oil on amazon to read reviews. I was surprised to discover reviewers rated coconut oil as a 5-star skin and hair moisturizer rather than a cooking ingredient. Have any of y'all tried coconut oil as a moisturizer?
I have a hard time even walking into or too close to that store. I do like the scents, but they're overwhelming en masse. I can't breathe & turn red if I'm inside for more than a couple of minutes.I like the smell of bath and bodyworks products. However, I have to be careful. I have some that turn me bright red and itch like poison ivy.
...because you are already lovelyI use a mixture of 3:1 olive oil/castor oil to clean my face and then just use a tiny amount of olive oil as moisturizer. Sounds weird, but my skin has never looked better. I've been doing this for about 2 years. Cheap & easy - I just mix it up in a travel shampoo dispenser, put it on my face first thing when I get in the shower, let the steam work it's magic, wipe it off and splash with cold water. Disclosure: it doesn't make me beautiful, but it does give me good skin.
Back at you, sistah!...because you are already lovely
I agree, Holly. There's something about olive oil that makes skin so smooth and radiant. I've been using it for five years now on my face and it's amazing. For the rest of my body I moisturize with Burt's Bees Frangrance Free Shea Butter & Vitamin E Body Lotion-- it's 99% natural.I use a mixture of 3:1 olive oil/castor oil to clean my face and then just use a tiny amount of olive oil as moisturizer.
