Well......the other day you all got me sucked into Pinterest with the chainmail pictures.I ended up with pins for chainmail,Doctor Who,paper crafts and a whole new board for ornaments:alien:
So anyway, this is what I got sucked into making.I think I need to remove the holes at the tops and make them smaller but I have hoards of shapes to try at the ready. It's a fun use for my SK pages from a previous craft:)

Very nice! Can you share a link to how these are made, please? Thanks.

Thank you:)Here is a tutorial from one of the ornaments I pinned but for mine I downloaded a pattern from silhouette.com and then let my paper cutter cut all the pieces.Maybe with some poking around on Pinterest you could find some patterns to print out and trace onto whatever paper you want to use.I know that is unhelpful but I CANNOT start poking around Pinterest again so soon! Lol!

Here are the aforementioned Easter cookies. Spritz cookies decorated with sanding sugars. Happy Easter!

Ohmygosh I'm glad you took a photo cause those cookies are too pretty to eat except I'll bet they don't stay uneaten for very long lol. My Grandma used to make spritz cookies for the holidays - they were sooooooo good :)

You've made me want to try to make cookies again :) I gave up years ago when my hubby called my cookies hockey pucks :( I think I'll try the sugar cookie recipe written on the bag of sugar - surely I can't mess up something that simple... maybe... actually I can lol.

I really really like those :) Who woulda thought old novels could be used to make something so pretty! I picked out the words Castle Rock but couldn't figure out which novel it was.

The pages were either from Liseys Story or Nightmares and Dreamscapes:) The paper cutter is a Silhouette Cameo. They have since released a newer one but who can afford to keep upgrading!

Well that's interesting! How cool is that! :) I had no idea there was a cutter like that for home use. I looked it up on amazon and read the customers' questions. One customer asked if it would cut contact paper. (I was on a short-lived fabric painting kick and often thought, This would be a lot easier if I could make a stencil using contact paper.) Scissors and X-acto knives didn't make a clean enough cut.

And it cuts fabric! That put my mind in a whirl lol.

Shrink-it is pretty thin before its baked - do you know if it can cut Shrink-it? There are some designs that are just too intricate (like snowflakes) to cut by hand.

I got all excited about the fabric too!( Pinterest board dedicated to Silhouette projects..lol) Even bought the blade but havent used it yet! I also bought supplies to make plastic stencils for chalkboards.....haven't done it yet...lol.I also have supplies to for shrink plastic but I never even thought about putting it through my cutter and I'm sure it would cut great!I am sure it would cut contact paper. Some things take some fiddling with to get the cut depth, speed, ect right but there are alot of people who post this type of info on the internet(thank goodness). I have used mine to cut matboard which is really thick. Now China manufactures "blade sets" for these machines which have three different types of blades for different materials and the sets are dirt cheap. It took me alot of videos, reading to finally get the hang of the machine but once you get it it is pretty fun:)

Yay! I'm glad I'm not alone lol. DON'T GO THERE! (said responsibly :))

There's another time consuming project I wish you'd do... can you post thumbnails of all your dollhouse pics? The ones I saw were amazing :)

I could have sworn I posted these but apparently I just went and saved them but didnt come back and post(unless I did and just dont see them....Would be typical) This was a build along kit from Real Good Toys that I "bashed" and made into a seventies type house.I grew up with orange shag carpet!

Okay, I grew up with orange/gold shag carpet, and when my mom died, we had to replace the carpet. I had the carpet men keep a square of the closet carpet (because it was in great shape) from 1971! and I cut a heart out of it and put it in a shadowbox. Pretty cool.

I can't believe I'm considering getting this machine just to make shrink-it snowflake tree ornaments and earring dangles. Please tell me the program doesn't contain snowflakes.

Your post made me cry... cutting out a heart from the carpet is so wonderfully sentimental. That was a great idea :)

It was my carpet for over 10 years. And when they pulled it up, it wasn't because it was in bad shape, it was because we needed to update. You would not believe how good this carpet looked. No stains on the underside, still very full and fluffy-- it wore like iron! They sure don't make carpet that way now. Of course, it was probably full toxic crap.

It's always said that the things to survive the end of the world would be cockroaches and Cher, oh, and Twinkies. Add my childhood carpet to that.

Twinkles

I was thinking about crafts I want to attempt and I tried finding your post with the pics of the tiles you dyed but the post must be on the old board. Can you repost the pics?

I would love to see a picture of your shadowbox.
That somehow doesn't sound right...
