I could have sworn I posted these but apparently I just went and saved them but didnt come back and post(unless I did and just dont see them....Would be typical) This was a build along kit from Real Good Toys that I "bashed" and made into a seventies type house.I grew up with orange shag carpet!

Go back to post 631 and ones after that explaining the process.
Sounds like you need to become a vampire. Let us know how that turns out. Thanks! I'm going to have to live for 200 years to finish all the crafts I want to make
Show me your shadow box and I'll show you mine!I would love to see a picture of your shadowbox.
That somehow doesn't sound right...
TWSSShow me your shadow box and I'll show you mine!
I can't believe I'm considering getting this machine just to make shrink-it snowflake tree ornaments and earring dangles. Please tell me the program doesn't contain snowflakes.
I LOVE your miniatures! Got anymore photos?
That is incredible! I love all the vintage 70s stuff !I could have sworn I posted these but apparently I just went and saved them but didnt come back and post(unless I did and just dont see them....Would be typical) This was a build along kit from Real Good Toys that I "bashed" and made into a seventies type house.I grew up with orange shag carpet!

Oh my heart! That is so precious!Okay, I grew up with orange/gold shag carpet, and when my mom died, we had to replace the carpet. I had the carpet men keep a square of the closet carpet (because it was in great shape) from 1971! and I cut a heart out of it and put it in a shadowbox. Pretty cool.
I would love to see a picture of your shadowbox.

Ha! OF course there are snowflake shapes. BUT ..... You wanna know the best place for free shapes? ....... PINTEREST! Lol.....true story.
Moi aussiThe best way to avoid Pinterest? Not have an account! I don't and every time I do a Google image search, it more often than not leads me to a Pinterest page and the screen slowly closes up on me and tells me to sign in. Nope. Not me.

You can find free patterns on line. I can't remember the name it, of course, but will check when I'm home for the one that I'm on their mailing list. They use lots of pictures which helps a lot and they will tell you exactly what sizes you'll need for the pattern. You might want to start out with nothing smaller than a 5 or 5.25 OD (outside diameter). Until you get practice holding the pieces together while you attach them to your next pieces, small ones could be frustrating. Many patterns will mix sizes to get the shape they want, e.g. a graduated chain that's bigger on the bottom and progressively smaller as it gets to the clasp. I'd made a snowflake necklace and earring set that won first place for the winter challenge at a jewelry group I was part of several years ago. I haven't been able to get it to photograph to see the detail but will keep trying. I combined beads on beading wire in with the snowflakes in an asymmetrical design to try to mimic falling snow. I was pleased with how it came out but have never worn it.lol... that's how it was for me too in the good old days (good old days as in before two weeks ago when I signed up again because I read that Pinterest works better with iPads now than before).
I stayed away today... I really did! until I read my mail from Pinterest with "pins for me". I had to take like 30 screenies before I could delete my mail lol. I am obsessed with chainmaille I want to make it all! I only ordered two different sizes of jump rings, thinking that's all I'd need but I guess I need lots more... actually I think I'd might best get some instruction booklets so I know what sizes to order... I can figure out the simpler patterns from the photos but I can't figure out what sizes the jump rings are.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention... I found a snowflake chainmaille pattern Course the money I'll save by not getting the cutting machine will quickly be spent on jump rings
Agree/ not for me either. The best way to avoid Pinterest? Not have an account! I don't and every time I do a Google image search, it more often than not leads me to a Pinterest page and the screen slowly closes up on me and tells me to sign in. Nope. Not me.
Forgot to mention that Tool Magic is a worthwhile investment. You dip the ends of your tools in it and it puts a rubber coating on them (it wears off eventually but you just dip them again) to prevent putting marks on the jump rings while you're working with them.lol... that's how it was for me too in the good old days (good old days as in before two weeks ago when I signed up again because I read that Pinterest works better with iPads now than before).

The site with the instructions and they sell supplies, of course, is thebeadman.com.Thank you I really really appreciate your offering to check out the name
First prize! You did good! I hope you can get a photo of it. And while you have the camera out, maybe you could take pics of your other jewelry projects too. We'd love to see them

I can't get the lighting quite right for the necklace to not have a little glare but still show the silver--these jump rings are Argentium silver which was still relatively reasonably priced when I made the necklace. The beads are Swarovski crystals but they are a milky color with just a little shine to them as I wanted it to be more like snow than ice. It's really much prettier in person.

Most of the rest of my pieces are packed up. I'd had them in my cousin's shop but she decided to close up her business and I just haven't unpacked everything. Too busy doing other things.
