Today's Pinterest Adventures :)

Today I learned how to transfer images to wood or fabric using wax paper or freezer paper. I'm putting that on a back burner for now - it looks messy... plus I don't have a printer lol. There were also some pins for steampunk things. I did NOT click on them - One of y'all had posted pics of steampunk picture frames a while back and I totally fell in love with steampunk :)

What Pinterest adventures have y'all taken part in today?
Tery.

I made paper beads and went to the store and bought copper end pieces. I sent some to Marsha to use in future jewelry projects. They are pretty cool. You just seal them with a clear enamel, but it is paper, so you just have to be careful.

I couldn't stop myself from googling paper beads :( I tried... I really did... for about two minutes *sigh* Paper beads are cool :) and I found some patterns for quilled charms for earrings too. I'm still waiting for my jump ring, etc order to be delivered. If it doesn't get here soon, I might have to switch obsessions.

Today's "We found some pins for you!" mail from Pinterest included a link to "Dachshunds, I love them all". Sooooooooo many cute photos :)

I'm going to pretend there isn't such a thing as crafts for a few days. I am so behind on watching my recorded tv shows, my dvr is almost full. I'm way behind on Castle and havn't watched any of this season's Better Call Saul episodes. I havn't even watched the last episodes of Downton Abby or The Walking Dead :(

I've started just deleting those emails without even reading them as I know it will lead to a lot of trouble.

Most of my obsessions are short lived too :( Sometimes I lose interest in craft projects after figuring out how to make them. I was totally fascinated with quilling for a while but after I figured out how to make carnations and leaves, I gave it up. I still love the appearance of quilling but it takes a bit more patience than I have to complete an entire scene. Now that I'm on a jewelry making kick, I would take up quilling again to make charms if I knew how to waterproof and stiffen the paper. Do you waterproof your paper cutting projects? Wait... you'd best not tell me lol.

Hahahhahaha! Quilling....me too! But I was making tiny bowls, mugs, whatever happened.I dipped my stuff in minwax varnish. This is one I painted after. I dont know why I dont have a picture of it together. Its upside down with a cover beside it.Dont know what I was going for but I ended up with an Urn! Then quilling led me to tiny mugs and that took over for a Looooooonnnnngggggg time!

Thank you :)

How about a guessing game? I had my two youngest grandkids here, so I had them colour bibs for their soon to be cousin. I wanted to see if the colours could be heat set on a lighter heat setting in the dryer. (They can't.) So I ended up using a hot iron, and kind of melted the plastic on the back a bit. However....

I just gave them the fabric markers and let them go to town. Then I asked them what they had drawn. any guesses what they drew? (Both make sense when you know the answer.)

This one is drawn by my grandson who is 3 1/2.

Been a while, but I finally got some stitching done. After a week of no stitching, I worked steady on the stocking this week.

I really like that Santa pattern. It's a little bit old-fashioned but not so much that a young person wouldn't love it. I'm still jealous of your perfect stitches... Y'know I enlarge the screen to look at them :)

Lol. I do that when looking at people's work too.

The pattern is called "Folk Art Christmas" and it's what the mom picked out. She decorates kind of folksy. When the outlining is done I think it will be stunning.
