I loved Barbies - I had 2 of them and they had such an interesting life. My mom would never buy me a Barbie car or a Barbie swimming pool - so I had to get very creative with their accommodations - a roller skate for a car, a Tupperware bowl for a pool - but I loved it all.Paper dolls. Takes me back. But I had lots of Barbies too. At least paper dolls were easy to take where ever you were going.
I had barbie everything. Dream house, car, United airlines plane. I still have my barbies and one year for christmas, my sister had made me a carry case full of barbie outfits. they were amazing! Oh, what a shame. I'm sorry for your loss but I'm glad you were safe and hope nobody else, critters too, were harmed.@Dana Jean and @no bounce no play - unfortunately I lost the doll, accessories, and cases in a fire back in 1989. I think I had just about everything connected with her.

I'm so sorry. All were safe. Was using an old mobile for storage- lightning strike. So no one was inside- just treasured items in storage.
see post 225 above. Yes, I still have the barbies, but not all the stuff.Oh Spidey... I'm so sorry you lost your Ginny doll I keep my Mom's old babydoll near the front door so I can grab it on the way out (after I grab the dog) in case of fire.
Holly... Dana... Do y'all still have your Barbie dolls?
I had a Revlon doll (Barbie's predecessor). I no longer have it either. I gave all but a couple of my dolls to an orphanage. I kept an old doll that came with a wardrobe trunk like the Ginny Doll but it's a bit bigger than a Ginny Doll. I can't remember what kind of doll it is and I can't find a pic online. I need to take a photo... maybe one of y'all can identify it

Thanks arista! I will try that!Someone gave me great tip about keeping a doll's hair nice to put some fabric softner in water bottle and spray on the doll's hair.
I've posted this before, but I love it. It turned out so good. My gourd Indian mask who looks like the salt sucker from Star Trek.
Awwww. That is such a great idea! I love it. A piece of their childhoods in your garden. The mask is gorgeous! And you see all these little things? As I was landscaping my yard, I found these various treasures buried in the ground from when my kids were little. They are 20 and 24 now. Anyway, I took all these little toys and a few more not pictured that I found after the photo was taken and I made a stepping stone with them. It is now in my garden.
