I think it's a cool statement. (I know, I am Not Like the Others. Probably never will be.) Why do women have to pretend to be prepubescent and hairless, anyway? Let your flag fly, ladies, I say!

Personally, I hate the feeling of hair in my pits, but if I didn't, I'd leave it there. Not sure I would go to the trouble of coloring it ...

I can remember the first time I ever saw a grown woman with armpit hair and I was just appalled.

It was Linda McCartney sitting on Paul McCartney's shoulders with her arms up in the air. Can't find the picture, but i remember it.

Now adays, I look like a wookie.

Skimom will know that Amanda palmer is probably the most vocal about hair issues. That girl's armpit hair is 10 times more badass than I will ever be.

Faye Dunaway was the first woman I saw with hairy underarms-- I think it was in an interview for "People Magazine" back when I was a teen. She was photographed laying on a couch, arm behind her head, with her pit hair on full display. I read years later that that particular photo probably ruined her chances for the Oscar that year because, on a subconcious level, many of her fellow actors found it disgusting and didn't vote for her.

How weird is that? Why in the world do we find armpit hair on a woman, a completely natural thing, so disgusting that we almost view it as a moral wrong?

Seriously, guys. That's messed up. Amanda Palmer is 100% right on with this one.

What film was that, Autumn? Chinatown?

I loved Faye Dunaway in Barfly with Mickey Rourke.
