Heard on the news last night that several stores in this area are pulling the clown costumes from their displays and
will not be selling them this Hallowe'en. Said there had been situations of a 'threatening nature' involving those
dressed as clowns.
Isn't that hilarious? and yet, people will go to haunted house venues, pay up to twenty bucks or more, where actors dressed in all sorts or get ups, will chase them, threaten them, even run at them with chainsaws..we have reached the heights of absurdity..

Yeats did that too. It's just intuition. ICP- that is a freaky band. I jest, he is educated and intelligent too.

coulraphobia isn't new.
I'm thinking about the mythological connections prior to his book. The fool from any tarot deck (oohhh I said tarot ) represents the average twenty something - or anyone who feels like they are equipped with everything they will need for the journey ahead. The fool's problem is that he's blind and no one will tell him he's about to fall off a cliff
with his little dog in tow!
Look at the jesters and mystics of Of medieval folklore; they certainly weren't cuddly.
They were often the the Target of cruelty and ridicule.
Now that I think about it, Pennywise is only an incarnatiotion of the Fool, the Jack, the joker-he's just trying to make friends down there, in his own vengeful away.
Leave it to me to empathize with the antagonist!

This clown foolishness have landed in Finland now too. People in my country thinks it's funny to dress up like scary clowns and scare adults and especially children. They are completely idiots. We hear about it in
the news, when someone have dress up like a clown and scared other. This morning I heard that some "clowns" had used knifes somewhere in South Finland to scare a women who had been walking with her dog. Thankfully they hadn't hurt her. Only frightened her. So crazy people here. Police have told us to call 112 (our emergency number) if we see those clowns and take as many hallmarks of the person who
is dressed up as a clown as possible. That is not the easiest thing. I hope this calming down soon. I really don't know what I would do, if one of those step front me. Probably run away.

Apparently there's been a clown in action around here...and I don't mean one of the local councillors.
According to the local rag, this idiot chased one woman and her kids along the High St, then either the same guy or some other twonk sprang out at another woman walking with her nephew and niece before threatening to "kill and skin [the kids] alive". (To which I thought 'Kill and skin them alive, eh? Nice trick if you can do it. Or did he mean "kill them by skinning them alive"?' I just can't turn that stuff off.)
Now, on Monday night I shall be out and about, as it's my usual catch-up night with my oldest and best mate. I'm usually on my own for a fair amount of the walk home, normally at around midnight or thereabouts, but on this occasion I'll have my gf with me...and if some clown - no, I don't mean clown, I mean ar$ehole - jumps out at me or does the 'lurk while waggling a knife' thing...well I'm going to take a rather dim view of that and the very last thing I'll be doing is running away or acting fearful. Because I'll go straight to angry. And bad things might - or rather, will - happen to Sir Clown in that case. For example his knife (if it's the same idiot and he really has one) will be inserted into a rather delicate place about his person. Then given a twist to see if he finds it funny after all.
And for once in my life, I am absolutely not kidding. Not even remotely, no matter what trouble it might land me in.
So for that reason, and that reason alone, I'm hoping to never cross paths with one of these morons. (I couldn't care less about them, I'm just not keen on ending up in prison.)
